From Practicum to Pages: Bridging Campuses Through Books
This initiative will pair Secondary Education practicum students with elementary students for a dedicated reading program. The goal is to demonstrate and instill the pure enjoyment of reading in younger students.
Secondary students who are preparing to become future educators will gain valuable real-world teaching experience and practical essential skills like engagement and classroom management. By sharing their passion for literature, they will serve as inspirational reading role models for the younger students.
This initiative will create a cross-campus partnership that will strengthen the entire school community, simultaneously developing the leadership skills of the education practicum students and nurturing a strong foundation in literacy and love of reading among the elementary students.
