ARK Family,

I hope you're enjoying the summer pace and tempo. I love the excitement and energy of the school year, but have come to also fully embrace the different rhythms and routines the summer offers.

School is out for summer, but I wanted to keep you informed of some things happening in the ARK Community.

Please let your children know that I miss them.

Sincerely,

Mr. Park

Principal

You and your soon to be kindergartner(s) are invited to come to one, two, or all incoming full day ARK kindergarten (informal and optional!) playground play dates. This is a chance for our future kindergarteners to meet and play before the big first day of school. Also a great way to meet fellow kinder-parents (new and experienced) and ask questions.

Tuesday, August 20 10:30-11:30 AM at Barclay Farmstead

Saturday, August 24 10:30-11:30 AM at Russell Knight playground

Monday, August 26 6:30-7:30 PM at Barclay Early Childhood Center playground

Ms. Corinne Driscoll has served our community well for the past two years as our PTA President. She has worked tirelessly to organize, plan, delegate, field questions from the community, attend meetings and so much more. We are thankful for her commitment and care for our school community.

Ms. Crystal Lucas will be serving as our PTA President for the next two years. We are thankful for her willingness to step into this position to support our community. Ms. Lucas will be formally introduced to our staff at our August 29th In-Service day and to the rest of our families on Back to School Night.

We are sorry for the late share, but we would be remiss if we didn't let our families know how teachers spent their gift to school. Every teacher was allotted $350 to spend on their classroom during the 2018 - 2019 school year. We were blown away by your generosity and are excited to share how the gift was spent.

Click here for a list of items that were purchased with your generous gift.

Grade level supply lists are accessible on our school website under the "Parent Information" tab. At this time, you can purchase items on your own or order through www.schooltoolbox.com. The PTA will also be sharing additional options for you to order through Walmart, Target and Staples.

We are excited to welcome six new staff members this year. We have no doubt that our new family members will add to the energy and culture of A. Russell Knight.
