PBIS Updates from Mr. Briggs
Our Viking students continue to impress with their positive behavior, consistently earning ROW tickets when staff members witness acts of respect, ownership, and wise choices. These tickets are part of our school-wide effort to promote a positive learning environment and recognize students who go above and beyond. Each week, students have the opportunity to be rewarded for their efforts, with their names entered into weekly drawings for small prizes and shout-outs. In addition to weekly recognition, students who consistently demonstrate positive behavior are celebrated monthly, with recent celebrations including a refreshing popsicle reward to honor their hard work and great attitude.
As an extra special incentive, one outstanding student from each classroom was selected to attend a Toledo Mud Hens game on May 21st. All students will also enjoy a visit from the Kona Ice Truck, generously sponsored by our PTO this week. We are proud of our Vikings for their efforts this school year!
As we continue to focus on building a positive school culture, our Viking Value of the Month is Kindness. We’ve noticed an increase in behavior concerns, especially on the playground, and we’re encouraging everyone to show extra care and kindness in all areas of our school. Let’s finish the year strong by lifting each other up and showing what it means to be a kind Viking!
