Secondary student volunteers needed
The District's student-led radio show, ESD Juventud Sin Fronteras, is looking for student volunteers that would be interested in joining our team. We are currently looking for bilingual (English/Spanish) students that are interested in being Radio Hosts. We are also looking to fill Media Manager positions, Spanish is not required for this position.
Student Safety Technology Tools
The district uses several tools to monitor student activity on district Chromebooks to identify potentially harmful activity to self or others. The district has subscribed to SecURLy’s 24x7 monitoring service in order to better identify urgent student safety concerns. Parents/Guardians can participate in helping to keep their students safe online by enrolling in SecURLy Parent Portal.
In addition to SecURLy, the district uses Hapara to monitor student Chromebooks between 6:20 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. This allows district staff to view and close student Chromebook screens.
The district is also proactively addressing safety and digital citizenship by educating students about the Acceptable Use Policy and through ongoing digital citizenship lessons at each grade level throughout the year.
Student technology use is guided by Procedure 2020P.
