"Weight of the Regent Exam":
ELA for example... a year long class, curriculum is taught for the full year, students take the exam in January (many to put their mind at ease) and then have they have the option to take the June Regent exam. Should a student take the exam in June and score higher than January we would record the June exam and that would factor into the final average.
Algebra for example... a year long class with students testing in June; should a student take the Algebra regents in June and retake in August, we would not go back and recalculate the final average.
