DFP Family Update
January 17, 2026
Students continued to explore winter themes this week including Arctic animals and community helpers. Many children especially enjoyed breaking ice cubes, going “ice fishing,” creating snowflakes, and caring for patients in the dramatic play doctor’s office.
Be sure to check your child’s ClassDojo or PhotoCircle to see the wonderful learning taking place in the classroom as we continue to focus on kindness and helping others.
As a reminder there is no school on Monday, January 19th in observance of MLK Jr. Day.
Enjoy your weekend,
Julie Martin

Kindergarten Registration Information - Please Read
Walpole 2026-2027 Kindergarten Pre-registration will be conducted from January 5–January 30, 2026.
*Kindergarten age-qualified children are those that have turned five (5) years old before September 1 of the school year for which they are pre-registering.
If your child is currently enrolled or receiving special education services through Daniel Feeney Preschool Center, you do not need to submit the online registration form, birth certificate, or proof of residency. However, you will need to provide the elementary school with a copy of your child’s latest physical.
If your student will turn five by September 1, 2026 and you do NOT plan on sending him/her to Kindergarten, please contact Julie Martin as soon as possible.

Cold Weather Gear Reminder
Please remember to dress your child in appropriate cold weather gear: hats, MITTENS (much easier to put on and off than gloves), coats and appropirate footwear. We will go outside unless the "real feel" temperature is below 20 degrees.
