Message from the Principals
Hello everyone,
We are so proud of our students for working so hard on their end of year assessments. We are seeing alot of growth and can attribute that to our dedicated staff, student effort and of course your support at home. It truly takes a village!
FitFest was another success this year with over 109 students participating. Thank you for supporting us and St. Jude.
As a reminder, we will be having our last ALICE drill of the year next week. Students will be prepared with resources we use for every drill. Please see our family resources below.
Enjoy the long weekend!
Respectfully,
Terri and Jayson
Authors Day Popsicle OPT OUT

Family Survey - PLEASE COMPLETE!
Dear Chelmsford Families,
Our district values your feedback! We are currently surveying The Chelmsford Public Schools families in order to gain insight into your perception of our school and district's effectiveness. We also want to better understand barriers to families accessing our schools and programs. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think.
To administer these surveys, we have partnered with Panorama Education to conduct our 2026 Family Survey as we did in 2023, 2024, 2025 as well. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses anonymous. The survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete and will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make our schools and district as good as they can be.
You may complete the survey online between Thursday May 6th and Friday June 12th using a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting the website below: https://surveys.panoramaed.com/chelmsfordma/family26/surveys
If you have multiple CPS school-aged children, please feel free to fill out multiple surveys to represent each individual child’s experience. The first question on the survey will be a dropdown to select which school you are filling the survey out for.
We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses. If you have any questions about the survey administration, please don’t hesitate to contact your building Principal.
Thank you in advance for your time.

Nurses Corner
Dear South Row Families,
As we approach the end of another wonderful school year, I wanted to send a few important reminders from the Nurse’s Office.
Medication Pick-up & Planning for next year
If your child has medication stored at school (including inhalers, EpiPens, daily medications, or other prescribed medications), please contact the Nurse’s Office to let me know when the medication will be picked up. All medications must be picked up by a parent/guardian or another designated adult before the end of the last day of school. Although the last day is an early dismissal, the health office will be open for med pick-up 8am – 11:30am, then again from 12:15-3:00pm. Plans for medication pickup can be sent to me via email martinh@chelmsford.k12.ma.us
*Medication pick-up will not be available during dismissal. Items not picked up by 3pm on Monday, June 15th will be disposed of per district policy.
Plan for next year! If your child has asthma, diabetes, an allergy that requires epinephrine, seizures, or another medical condition that requires special care or medication, the condition related health form must be completed EVERY YEAR and returned to the health office by the first day of school. Forms may be found on the district website and must be dated after 7/1/26. https://chelmsfordschools.org/departments/health-services/health-forms/
Medication for school use must be turned into the health office by a responsible adult and may not be sent to school with a child. Please make sure all forms are completed, front and back sides. There will be a day before school starts next year for medication drop off. Communication will be sent out in the summertime about the date and time of the medication drop off.
It has been such a pleasure spending my first year at South Row Elementary School. Thank you to all of our students and families for making this year so welcoming and rewarding. I have truly enjoyed getting to know the South Row community and caring for your children throughout the year.
Wishing all of our families a happy, healthy, and relaxing summer!
Warm regards,
Heather Martin

PTO Corner
We have been having a GREAT spring and with this warmed up weather it's certainly feeling like summer! We enjoyed our 3rd annual Sunshine Dance last weekend with our GINORMOUS basket raffle and it was a great success! So much fun, dancing, and smiles were had throughout the night. Thank you to all who donated items, helped coordinate baskets, volunteered on the day of the event, and purchased tickets for the raffle - we could not put on this event without you!
Here are some upcoming reminders about what's still to come! :)

Reminders from the PTO
Look What We've Accomplished this Year!
As this school year is coming to an end, we wanted to share with you all the things we were able to do TOGETHER this year. It is so important to us to have your support and look at ALL WE"VE DONE! Thank you for being here with us, helping us so that we can do the things we do. We cannot do it alone. If you have ever considered joining the PTO Board, we'd love to have you. Your ideas are important and we would love to have like-minded folks joining us in creating these memories at South Row. :)
It is crazy to look back on the year and see all that was possible through your donations, your time, and your attendance at events! We've been able to bring a lot of fun and laughs to the families at South Row over the course of the year and we wanted to share that with you all. THIS is how we fulfill our mission as a PTO - to bring together parents, teachers, and administration to enhance the quality of the educational and social experience for all children at South Row Elementary School. Thank you for helping us continue this mission!
Want to join us in a greater capacity next year? Our Board welcomes anyone who wants to shadow our board positions! Reach out to us: southrowpto@gmail.com

2026 Hannaford Helps Schools program!
THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO HELP SUPPORT SOUTH ROW PTO WITH YOUR WEEKLY GROCERY TRIP! South Row PTO is participating in the Hannaford Helps Schools program! This 2026 program will run from April 5 through May 30. During this time, our community can support our school by shopping for specially marked items. For every 4 participating products purchased, shoppers earn 3 School Dollars. At checkout, customers receive a School Dollar printout that they can redeem online and direct funds to our school.
Using Hannaford To Go? With Hannaford To Go, School Dollars are not provided at pickup. Instead, about a week into May and again a week into June, Hannaford will email you a unique code reflecting the total School Dollars you earned in the previous month from qualifying purchases.
To redeem School Dollars, simply enter the unique printout code and store number on the Hannaford Helps Schools website or app, then select our school. Each School Dollar printout also includes a QR code linking directly to the website, making it quick and easy to redeem School Dollars.
Thank you in advance for participating! :)
