Moms and Muffins 2024

Our Moms and Muffins event was a success!

56 moms and daughters joined us for Moms and Muffins on Saturday. Girls built confidence by identifying what makes them special and comparing themselves to a precious gemstone. They also had the opportunity to share with the group.

The girls loved wearing their tiaras and the making of tiaras for their moms.

Thank you to all who participated.

Career Guidance for 5th Graders

Ms. Carlock began a two-week Career Guidance unit for 5th graders in the computer lab getting the students to think about their future plans.

The focus of this weeks lesson was conducting an interest inventory, where students explore potential careers aligned with their interest.

Next week’s focus will be to explore the Occupational Handbook, where students will research different careers in the fields they are interested in.

If your 5th grader does not attend computer lab, they can still check out our Parker Elementary School Guidance Counseling Program. Join us at: parker-counseling.weebly.com

From there, go to the third tab: Career Guidance

Students will be working on items: 1, 2, 3, and 5 on that tab.

We had so many interesting conversations as students were curious to ask staff and teachers where they went to college and about their college experience.
