2026-2027 All Sports Passes (High School & Middle School) 2026-2027 All Sports Passes (High School & Middle School)

Do you love to visit the Den to take in Football, Wrestling, or Basketball? The North Point All Sports Pass is the best value to ensure that you are able to bring the entire family at an affordable price. The All Sports Pass is also our Activities Department's biggest fundraiser, as all money earned from the sale of passes stays in the building activities fund!

We have moved to Hudl ticketing this year. Regular admission to home events is $5 for adults, and $2 for students. A family of four who plans on attending home football games and a few basketball games during the year will find the Family Pass is the very best value and will pay for itself before the end of the year. Remember that the All-Sports pass will also get you into Middle School Basketball games.

The Impact test is a cognitive baseline test used to establish a baseline in case a high school student athlete suffers a concussion. Re-taking the impact test post-injury is a part of the MSHSAA Return to Play protocol. The baseline test is valid for two years, so incoming freshmen and juniors should plan on taking the test. If you are new to North Point or have never played a sport before, you should also plan on taking the test prior to participating in a sport. Our Athletic Trainer Chance Orf will be administering tests on the following dates/times in the North Point Library.

*Please be sure to bring a fully charged chromebook to take this online test.*

Important Update: NCAA Division I Eligibility Changes & What It Means for You Important Update: NCAA Division I Eligibility Changes & What It Means for You

The "5 for 5" Age-Based Model

Starting with the incoming college class of Fall 2027, the NCAA is eliminating the traditional "five years to play four seasons" model. Under the new age-based model, Division I athletes are granted a flat five-year period to compete in five full seasons.

The most critical part: the eligibility clock starts upon your initial full-time college enrollment OR the regular fall semester following your 19th birthday—whichever comes first. Once that clock starts, it runs continuously and does not stop.

Here is the alt text for the image NCAA Old Rules v. New Rules.png: Alt Text: A comparison table titled "Old Rules vs. New Rules" detailing changes to NCAA Division 1 student-athlete eligibility. The table contrasts five key features under the "Previous NCAA D1 Rule" and the "New Age-Based D1 Model." The table contents are as follows: Seasons allowed: Previous rule allowed 4 seasons; New model allows 5 seasons. Eligibility window: Previous rule allowed 5 years ("5 to play 4"); New model establishes a 5-year continuous clock. Clock starts: Previous rule started upon full-time college enrollment; New model starts upon enrollment or the fall semester after the athlete's 19th birthday. Redshirts & Waivers: Previous rule widely used redshirts for injuries or development; New model eliminates them, allowing no medical or hardship extensions. Exceptions: Previous rule allowed a broad range of medical and general waivers; New model strictly limits exceptions to military, religious missions, and pregnancy.

What This Means For Division I Prospects

  • No More Medical Redshirts: Because the clock runs continuously, if you suffer a season-ending injury, that season is permanently lost. The NCAA will no longer pause your eligibility to allow for recovery time.

  • No Developmental Redshirts: College coaches can no longer sit freshmen for a year to let them physically develop without burning a year of their eligibility. You are now expected to be ready to compete the moment you step on campus.

  • Gap Years Are Penalized: Because the clock automatically starts the fall after your 19th birthday, taking time off after high school to train independently or delay college enrollment will actively burn your NCAA eligibility.

The Trickle-Down Impact: Division II, Division III, and NAIA

Even if you are targeting Division II, Division III, or NAIA programs, this Division I rule change will directly impact your recruiting experience.

  • Fewer D1 Roster Spots for Freshmen: With D1 athletes now able to compete for five full, uninterrupted seasons, rosters will naturally feature older, more established athletes. D1 coaches will have fewer open spots to offer incoming high school recruits.

  • A Deeper Talent Pool at Lower Divisions: Athletes who previously might have accepted a D1 walk-on role or a developmental redshirt spot will increasingly be pushed toward D2, D3, and NAIA programs where they can compete immediately. This means the competition for scholarships and roster spots at these levels will become significantly harder.

  • Delayed Recruiting Timelines: Because D1 programs will be managing tight rosters and watching the transfer portal, coaches at all levels may wait longer into your senior year to make official scholarship offers.

MSHSAA Fall Sports Dead Week

The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) mandates a fall sports "dead period"—a system-wide pause designed to give student-athletes, families, and coaches a true break before the fall athletics season.

For 2026, the standard fall dead week runs from August 1 through August 9.

Official fall sports practices and tryouts will begin on August 10, 2026.

August 10, 2026 is Grizzly Welcome Day!

We have two time options to try to meet the needs of our families, 9:00am-Noon & 3:00pm-6:00pm. We recommend that if you plan on participating in any athletics or activities, you come later in the second session so that you can head directly to the sports/activities meeting that begins at 6pm in the auditorium.

You'll be able to take a tour of the building, meet many of our North Point Staff, ask questions about your schedule and much more!

This year, in an effort to protect instructional time during the school year, we will be holding our student picture day here at Grizzly Welcome! All 9th-11th graders should plan on having their yearbook photo taken on Grizzly Welcome Day.
