Picture Retakes

If your child was absent OR you ordered a package on original picture day but are choosing to get your child's picture retaken, your child MUST bring their original picture package with them on retake day to give to the photographer. You DO NOT need to place a new order, but YOU DO NEED your child to bring the original picture package.

IF you are NEW TO BIBICH, please place your order before Nov. 12. https://inter-state.com/FlyerEntry/0516TST

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Mark your calendars because we have exciting news! On Friday, November 13, all Lake Central elementary schools will be hosting parent/teacher conferences for grades K-4.

Students will not come into school at all on November 13. The eLearning day will reflect assignments and teachers will post assignments that students can complete independently. In order to allow teachers time to meet with all families to discuss the progress of our students, teachers will not be available for live instruction on the November 13th eLearning day and they will not have office hours. If students have any questions about the posted assignments, they should bring them to their teacher when they return to class the following day.

Parents/guardians will have the option of a virtual or an in-person conference.

Please be on the lookout for an invitation from your child’s teacher(s) and for more details on how to sign up for a time to conference with your child's teacher.

Pink Out

Thank you Bibich Bulldogs.....we raised $600 on our Pink Out Day on October 9th. This money is used to help patients of Northwest Cancer Centers with things such as their utility bills, transportation to appointments, childcare, and grocery expenses. This helps cancer patients to concentrate on their treatment and recovery by taking away some of the stress. If anyone would like to make a donation you may go to www.nccfoundationindiana.com. Thank you families for supporting Bibich VS Cancer and being difference makers in our community!

Bibich Staff Recognition

We have amazing teachers and staff who work daily to ensure our students are safe, cared for, and reach academic success. In order to honor their hard work, we will be doing a monthly staff appreciation recognition! We will accept nominations from parents or other staff members. Two staff members will be randomly drawn each month to highlight them as teacher/staff member of the month! You are welcome to nominate as many adults as you wish or you can save nominations for another month! All nominees will be recognized, but those randomly drawn will get their picture posted to social media and ParentSquare. They will also receive a certificate to hang outside of their classroom door and a small gift of appreciation. This form will be live throughout the entire school year. Nominees will be randomly selected at the end of each month. Please reach out to Mr. Wierzba with any questions! jwierzba@lcscmail.com

Before School Tutoring

Please remember Before School Tutoring is every Tuesday and Thursday. Children participating will enter through Door H starting at 7:20am. Doors will close promptly at 7:30am. If a child is dropped off after the doors are closed, a parent will have to walk them into the office. Only students invited to Before School Tutoring by their teacher are able to take advantage of this opportunity. All other students may not enter to building until the doors open at 7:50am.

Recess

Please avoid bringing toys from home to play with at recess. We do not want any toys getting lost, traded or even broken by accident. Thank you!

Car Rider Dismissal

If your child is a CAR rider, please remember to come into the office and get your “family number”. Place the number on the passenger side window so it is easy to see. If someone does not have a number in their car during pick up, they will have to come into the office and show their ID. Car riders will start dismissing at 2:40pm.

If the need to pick up your child arises AFTER your child has left for school, you MUST call the office BEFORE 1:30pm.

Absent/Tardy

If your child will be absent for any reason, please call the office in the morning at (219) 322-1185 to report their absence.

Students are considered tardy if they are NOT IN THEIR CLASSROOMS by 8:10am. Students that are late NEED to be accompanied by an adult to sign them in at the front office.

Chromebooks

Each student will be assigned a Chromebook and responsible to carry it back and forth to school each day. Chromebook chargers will be kept at home and students should plug them in each night to ensure they are fully charged for the next school day. Chromebooks are NOT allowed to be out of backpacks on the bus.
