We are almost through the first month of school and our staff has done an amazing job connecting with students and setting expectations. South Row is an amazing community because of the relationships fostered here!

It was a very successful Start with Hello Week this past week. Check out the picture above which highlights all of our students pledging to be kind and inclusive!

We are looking forward to our PTO sponsored Ice Cream Social coming up on Tuesday September 27th. We hope to see you there. We will also have our first Chelmsford Spirit Day on Friday September 30th. Students are encouraged to wear any Chelmsford or South Row swag they have .

Parent Contact Information: Teachers provided families a paper with your contact information at Curriculum Night. If you were NOT at curriculum night, this information will be sent home. It is critical that you review it, provide any updates, and sign the documentation to be sent back to school.

Pokemon Cards & Sports Cards: Please DO NOT send Pokemon cards or sports cards to school with your student. Pokemon cards and sports cards are a distraction for students and have also added to disruption on the bus. Thank you in advance.

Library Volunteers: Our wonderful librarian Mrs. Hamm is looking for volunteers during library times. Would you like to assist in the library during your child’s class? If so, contact Mrs. Hamm at hammm@chelmsford.k12.ma.us. We appreciate the help. As a reminder, you will need to have a current CORI on file.

4th Grade Student Council: More information on the optional 4th-grade student council club will be shared in October. There will be an application process and a video shared with students to learn more about the program.

Water bottles: Please send your student to school with a water bottle, especially in this heat! We have a few water bottle filling stations that students can use throughout the day.

Ice Cream Social - Please join us to kick-off the new school year at our annual Ice Cream Social Tuesday Sep 27 from 4:30-7 on the playground (rain date Sep 29 same time and place)! This event is a drop-in for the whole family! Ice cream/frozen treats will be available to purchase (cash and cards are accepted). Games, temp tattoos, and toppings will also be available.
