Wednesday Weekly

A HUGE Thank you to our Roslyn families! Our 3rd-5th graders thoroughly enjoyed all the snacks donated for IAR testing. We appreciate your generosity and kindness.

We’re building our PTO team for next school year and we’d love to have YOU be a part of it!

We still have a few open positions and are looking for parents who want to get involved, meet amazing people, and make a meaningful impact on our school community. Open positions are below. Our slate linked HERE will be voted on at the April General Meeting on Tuesday, April 28th at 9am in the MPR room at Roslyn!

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4 through May 8. Here is what all parents need to know:

• Tuesday, 5/5: "Fan Mail Day"- Have your student bring a Thank You note to their teacher(s). You may choose to include a gift card

• Wednesday, 5/6: "Groupies Day"- Have your student wear their classroom teacher's favorite color

• Friday, 5/8: "Concert Concessions"- If you would like, have your child bring a small snack, sweet treat or nonperishable beverage to their teacher(s)

• Room Parents will provide families with the teacher's favorite things list

This year, PTO is making an extra effort to ensure that all staff members are recognized. We are looking for volunteers to honor the amazing Roslyn specialist teachers. Please see the SignUpGenius for how you can help. Can't volunteer but still want to ensure the specialists feel the love? Consider contributing to a school gift for specialists by donating any amount HERE (please put "Teacher Appreciation Week" in the message memo).

Special thank you to the room parents for making this awesome week happen for our rockin' Roslyn staff!

Garden Club is ready to dig in for the spring session! Members will tend to the Outdoor Learning Classroom (OLC), learning tasks such as weeding, pruning, transplanting and helping with general spring clean up. We use small garden tools.

All grades are welcome, though typically grades K-3 seem to enjoy it most. Club meets on Fridays 2:45-3:30 from May 1-May 22. Cost is $25/student or $40/family. Financial assistance available.
