International Night and Potluck
The International Night potluck was filled with culture, food, and family community spirit. Parkview Key Club hosted this event to give students and their families the opportunity to share dishes that depict the traditions and cultures from all over the world. From spicy samosas, sweet baklava, fragrant biryanis, and every flavor imaginable. However, the night was more than just a feast; it was also about the students educating their peers about the importance of diversity, hence developing an appreciation and connection to culture. On top of this, music and traditional performances livened up the atmosphere, including students exploding with dances, songs, and fashion from their respective backgrounds. Laughter and chitchat could be heard as students joined in celebrating an exciting potluck. By the end of the evening, every plate was empty, yet the feeling of unity and shared experience lingered on as the cutting edge of everyone's beautiful memory formed at the gathering. Congratulations on another great International Night Celebration!
Educational Effectiveness (EES) – Family Survey
The EES Family Survey (opens Feb. 3) asks questions about families’ experiences with research-based characteristics of high-performing schools including: collaboration, communication, goals, leadership, standards, environment, teaching and learning, and involvement. Each year, to help improve our schools, Gwinnett County Public Schools collects feedback from our families and staff members about their school experience. The district will once again give the Educational Effectiveness Surveys (EES) to get feedback on nine Characteristics of High-Performing schools.
Families will receive a ParentSquare message with the anonymous link.
