New Information

Happy Valentine's Weekend! We hope you enjoy the three day weekend.

See you Monday.

  • This week we are celebrating School Resource Officer Day! We are so grateful for Mr. Sean and his dedication to keeping our school safe. His presence, care, and commitment to our students and staff make a difference every day. If you see Mr. Sean around campus, be sure to give him a high five and a thank you for all he does! 💙
  • Our 3rd-5th graders finished up their ATLAS interim testing and did a great job! We have posters in the hallway for students that "Met or Exceeded" their Interim 1 score to write their name on. We are proud of how hard our Yellowjackets worked.
  • The ATLAS Summative tests are scheduled. Kinder, 1st, 2nd grades: April 30-May 7. 3rd, 4th, 5th grades: April 23, 24, 27, 28th

Kindness Week

Kindness Week is coming! It is a great time to teach our students to show kindness through their words and actions. Here are some ideas to spread kindness:

• Writing a kind note to someone
• Encouraging your child to help with an extra chore
• Talking about one kind thing they did each day
• Giving compliments to friends or family

Thank you for helping us grow kind hearts at school and at home!

Students can add how they showed kindness on the Wonder Wall this week!

Tips from the Counselor- Career Awareness

Elementary school is not too early to start teaching your child about career awareness. Making career decisions is a lifelong process about exploring and experiencing the world of work. It is important for your child to become aware of how his or her education is connected to a successful future.

While in Elementary school, you can help your child:

  • Discover the variety of jobs available to him or her

  • Connect what he/she is learning in school to real-world situations

  • Imagine him/herself in an occupation

  • Develop work-readiness skills such as working and playing with others, making decisions, solving problems, and being a leader!

  • Discuss different skills and interests your child has and relate them to certain jobs. For example, a reporter needs writing skills to create newspaper articles or blogs.

By talking with your child about the link between school and careers, you will help your child understand that school is important and that school success can open doors to his or her career.
