First Grade Newsletter- Week 4
September 11th
CLASS NEWS
Dear 1st Grade Parents,
It was a fast and fun week in our first grade classrooms! We loved seeing the kids continue to grow together as a class community. This past week, we worked hard at practicing a variety of addition strategies in math! We also explored story elements in our reading! We have officially settled into our daily routines in the classroom and a constant buzz of excited voices can be heard in our hall!
Next week in math, we will continue focusing on addition and subtraction within 10. In reading, our emphasis will be on finding the beginning, middle, and end of stories. As always, please encourage nightly reading at home to support your child’s progress.
Have a great weekend,
Lilly Ray & Sandi Giusti
