Coach Stowers
For this week’s responsibility feature, we are highlighting Coach Stowers of the Woodcreek football team. Coach Stowers believes responsibility starts with leading by example. To him, responsibility means setting standards, doing the right things, and showing athletes what is expected of them.
Coach Stowers demonstrates responsibility through consistency, showing up early and on time, working hard even when tired, and taking care of the little things every day. These actions help set the standard for both players and the coaching staff.
Teaching responsibility also means setting clear expectations and helping athletes learn from their mistakes. Coach Stowers explained that players need to understand what they did right or wrong and take time to reflect on their actions.
When it comes to his athletes, Coach Stowers expects them to show up, work hard, and make good choices. Most importantly, he believes responsibility means doing the right thing even when nobody is watching.
