Requirements for Participation in Rustin High School Fall Sports- Registration opens June 1st
- PIAA Physical form completed and uploaded into Family ID. The physical must be dated on or after June 1st, 2023
- All athletes must be registered in Family ID for their fall sport in order to participate on Monday, August 14th.
*Physicals must be dated June 1st or later*
Boys & Girls Cross Country
Summer cross country practices will be starting on Monday, June 19th at Chester Valley Trail (Exton Park trailhead). You can get all info for the team such as our summer training schedule, our tentative fall schedule, and tons more at rustinxc.weebly.com. Girls Tennis
Girls Tennis mandatory preseason and tryouts start on Monday, August 14th...Monday thru Friday 9:00am to 12:30.
Voluntary practices will take place week of August 7th...Monday thru Friday late morning- TBD
Captains practices will be held off/on randomly during the summer with days and times TBD

Marching Band
Rustin Golden Knights Marching Band 2023
The staff and I are excited to field our biggest and best marching band yet at Rustin. We currently have 65 members interested in joining the band for the 2023 season including 15 current 8th graders and counting!!! The band is a welcoming, supportive, and caring group of students who work hard to put on an incredible performance each year. The Rustin Golden Knights Marching Band are a 9-time Pennsylvania State Champion Marching Band!
As we are an extra-curricular activity, the marching band is open to any student at Rustin or homeschooled student in the Rustin sending area. If you know of any current 8th graders that will be attending Rustin next year that might be interested in joining, please pass this on to them as well. We typically get a few new members each year from parent-to-parent recommendations and appreciate your assistance!
Below is some preliminary information on being a part of the marching band. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Pre-season Rehearsals:
Tuesday nights in May, 6PM – 8PM. Rustin Band Room
Commitment Day – Tuesday May 30, 2023 – All members of the marching band must have their commitment form in today.
Summer Rehearsals/Parade (not required but highly recommended)
July 3, 4 (Parade), 12, & 26
Band Camp (Mandatory)
August 3-5, 7-11, & 15 – 17
Weekly rehearsals when school starts:
Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:45 – 5 PM.
All Football Games, Competition Days, and Parades are mandatory performances.
