Every year Rotary Clubs throughout the world sponsor over 6,000 students to go on a 10 month exchange where they will learn a new language, a new culture and represent their country and Rotary.
Rotary Clubs in Kelowna and West Kelowna will be selecting 3 students to go on exchange from September 2027 to June 2028. Rotary provides $8000 in scholarship and families of selected students will need to pay approximately $8000. This will pay for the plane ticket, visa, medical insurance, orientation weekends in Canada and in the country the student will be going to as well as all school fees, room and board. Exchanges are available in 23 different countries - France, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, India, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and more.
Students need to be in grade 9, 10 or 11 in September 2026 to be eligible to apply. The selection process is an online application and two interviews. Selection will be completed by December 2026.
