Grades are posted on Q Connect (look under "Marks") starting on Tuesday, September 30th. This is a delay from the initial expected date on Friday 9/26.
- The quarter 1 progress report is a checkpoint for students and families. Please note that grades are NOT final until the end of semester 1 (December 19th). However, It is important to stay on top of assignments early. We highly encourage all students and families to check Q Connect often for grade updates. Email your teachers if you are concerned about any grades or assignments. Early communication and intervention is KEY.
Redwood participates in one main ASB fundraiser a year and this year's event called "Adventure Zone" is off to a great start! This year we are hoping to raise money to a new ASB sound system for activities and events in the plaza. We are also hoping to raise money that can be used for student rewards and recognitions.
- On Friday October 17th there will be an ADVENTURE ZONE field day starting at 12:00pm. This is the end of Quarter 1 and will be a minimum day schedule. Participating students who have a period 6 class will be excused from their class in order to participate.

Reflections Art Contest - TURN IN: 10.3 & 10.6!
There's still time to create art based on the interpretation of: “I Belong”. Students create art in any of these categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Writing, Music, Dance or Film. Write your artist's statement on how your art relates to the theme, and turn in! Work will be judged and displayed at our gallery show. All Art Displays will be ANONYMOUS during school hours.
HOW PARTICIPATE IN REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST:
1. Click Here for the Entry Form - office has copies
2. Choose a Category & Create: Visual Arts, Photography, Literatures, Dance or Film
3. Fill-out Artist Statement - interpretation is more important than art skill)
4. Turn in Mounted Art & Entry Form on: 10.3 & 10.6 (email digital files and questions)
5. Awards & Gallery Show TBD in October

We have over a dozen student initiated clubs on campus this year! See the attached calendar for club meeting dates and locations.
All English Language learner families are invited to join us in the library at 9:00am on TUESDAY 9/30. This first meeting will review how to navigate Q Connect and Canvas for families. There will be light refreshments provided. We hope to see many parents/guardians of our English Language Learners. Younger children are welcome to come with parents if needed.
