Dear Families,

We had a productive week here at Wessagusset! Mid-year assessments have begun, and students have been working diligently on two of our assessment tools, iReady and DIBELS. Assessments like these are crucial in helping us provide targeted intervention and give students the opportunity to “show what they know”! We are proud of all of our students’ efforts, as well as our teachers’ dedication to helping them succeed. Please see below for helpful information about the weeks ahead:

There is no school tomorrow, Monday, January 16th as Martin Luther King Jr. Day is observed. This is the perfect time to share his legacy with our children and to reflect on what we can do to help others. Excellent information and resources can be found here: MLK

All Weymouth families and students are encouraged to attend the next SEPAC Meeting and presentation on January 17th at 7pm via Zoom. They are hosting a great speaker from EasterSeals, who will present important information about youth with disabilities and programs available from EasterSeals. I highly recommend the Weymouth 400 Documentary, “Our Story Continues”. It was released on YouTube this week and is an incredible tribute to the history and people of Weymouth. (I thought the North Weymouth portion was the best part, of course…!) Enjoy: Weymouth 400 Documentary
