A note from the Principal...
Dear Abraham Lincoln Families,
As we reach the last day of October and the close of our first quarter, I want to share how much Iāve truly enjoyed these first weeks of school! Getting to know the students, staff, and families of Abraham Lincoln has been a highlight of my fall.
Iām looking forward to the next quarter and all the excitement the winter months bring to an elementary school. Report cards and parent-teacher conferences are coming up soonāplease donāt hesitate to reach out to your childās teacher or to me with any questions. If youād like me to join your conference, just let me know!
Wishing you all a fun and safe weekendāand donāt forget to set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night/Sunday morning!

š” Helpful Tips & Resources for Families
October is Bullying Prevention Month
October is Bullying Prevention Monthāa time to remind ourselves what bullying really means and how we can all work together to prevent it.
What bullying is:
Bullying happens when someone repeatedly and intentionally uses words or actions to hurt, intimidate, or exclude another person. It can be physical, verbal, or social, and it often involves an imbalance of power.
What bullying isnāt:
Not every disagreement or unkind moment is bullying. Sometimes children have conflicts or misunderstandings as they learn how to navigate friendships. These moments can become opportunities to build empathy, communication, and problem-solving skills.
How families can help:
-
Listen and stay connected. Ask your child about their day and how theyāre feeling at school.
-
Model respect. Children learn by watching how adults handle frustration and disagreement.
-
Encourage kindness and courage. Praise your child for including others, standing up for friends, and speaking kindly.
Together, we can continue to make Abraham Lincoln School a place where every student feels safe, valued, and supported.
