Lighthouse Moment

I wanted to share a glimpse into the meaningful work taking place in our Art classroom.

Our second grade students are designing and creating their own looms as they learn the tabby weave technique. Throughout this process, they have thoughtfully selected colors to represent a season, using their artwork to make personal connections.

Students shared how calming the rhythmic nature of weaving feels, helping them focus and fully engage in their work. These moments of creativity and reflection highlight how the arts support both skill development and student well-being.

We are grateful for Ms. Bammy, who creates experiences that inspire creativity and joy in our students each day.

Health Guidelines

Dear Parents,

We wanted to take a moment to share a gentle reminder as several illnesses are currently circulating in our school community.

To help keep all students and staff healthy, we kindly ask that you please be mindful about keeping your child home if they are showing signs of illness, such as fever, vomiting, persistent cough, or other symptoms that may be contagious. Allowing children time to rest and recover at home not only supports their well-being, but also helps prevent the spread of illness to others.

We truly appreciate your partnership and understanding as we work together to maintain a healthy and safe learning environment for everyone. If you have any questions or are unsure whether your child is well enough to attend school, please review the district health guidelines or don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your continued support.

MTSS: Tiered support for all learners (Stephanie Larenas, MTSS Coordinator)- (Virtual Zoom Event)

April 8, 2026 9:30 A.M.

Join MTSS Coordinator, Stephanie Larenas, for an informational session in how we support all of our students. Our MTSS practices serve as the foundation of understanding across the district as we provide continued support for students. This three-tiered model ensures consistent teaching and learning for all students, support for students who already understand, and supports for those students who may need additional review. Come learn more about how we gauge student learning and progress, how we respond to student understanding, how we differentiate the need for in-class instruction and intervention support, and how we determine what student progress looks like.
