Classroom lessons are imbedded in the general education setting, where I visit classrooms to deliver these lessons. If you would like more information on this district-wide curriculum, you may visit: https://safersmarterkids.org/
Individual Counseling is available for all students, at the request of either the parent/guardian, the student's teacher(s), or the student themself.
Small Group Counseling is needs-based, and available by teacher referral, with parent/guardian approval. If your student is not referred for a group, but you want them to participate, please reach out to me directly; my email is listed below.
As a school counselor, I am also involved in the problem solving team to support students, and am the 504 Coordinator for our school.
I'm also involved with Red Ribbon Week in October and the Kindness Campaign in February. More information to come!
AWARDS
Our Otter Pond Awards are ongoing celebrations for when students are selected by their homeroom teacher as exemplifying one of our monthly celebrated and learned about Otter Pond Den Principles: Unity, Wisdom, Tenacity, Gratitude, Mindfulness.
At the end of the school year there is an Otter Achiever Ceremony in which each teacher selects one student who has made significant growth in any area throughout the year; academically, socially, behaviorally, etc.
