Engage49 is District 49’s Family, School, Community Partnership (FSCP) Collaborative. We connect families with information, resources, and experiences that support student success. We also invite families to share their voices and help shape the conversation. (Scroll down for more about us) This is one way we listen to your questions and ideas and use what we hear to guide what we provide.

We believe strong partnerships between families and schools help us make sure Engage49 stays focused on what matters most to our families.

Families are a big part of a student’s educational journey. You have questions, ideas, experiences, and perspectives that matter. Engage49 is how D49 listens to families, responds to what we hear, and creates ways for families to connect with their schools, their communities, and each other.

Our focus is to:

• Connect: Make it easier for families to find resources, information, and ways to get involved.
• Listen: Ask families what they think and use their feedback to shape what we do.
• Inform: Share information that helps families understand and navigate their child’s educational experience.
• Partner: Build relationships with families and create ways to work together.

Engage49 is here to hear you. The topics that matter to you give us direction for every newsletter we produce and LIVE event that we host. Your partnership ensures we are prioritizing topics you care most about. MONTHLY TOPICS: You asked, and we answered! Watch for our monthly newsletters featuring topics families want more information about. We break down acronyms, address common misconceptions, share outside resources, and highlight upcoming Engage49 LIVE events.

LIVE EVENTS: These aren't your average parent academies. Families choose the topics, and we bring in experts from D49 and the community to help answer questions and provide information. Families drive the conversation, with time to connect and network afterward. Dinner and childcare are provided.

COMMITTEE CONNECTION: D49 has many committees where families can get involved. Whether your interest is Special Education, Safety and Security, District Accountability, or something else, there is a place for your voice.

WHAT'S AVAILABLE IN YOUR ZONE: Learn more about the schools, curriculum, culture, and opportunities available in the zone where you live, work, and learn.

FOOD INSECURITY RESOURCES: D49 offers a food pantry at Falcon Middle School and a food and clothing pantry at Horizon Middle School. These resources are free to local families and community members.

Engage49 is more than a monthly newsletter or event. It's a partnership between District 49, our families and our community.
