Educational Excellence and Attendance
Dear NOW Families,
At RFK NOW, we know that every school day is an opportunity to learn, grow, connect, and succeed. When students attend school consistently and arrive on time, they are more likely to stay on track academically, build strong relationships with their teachers and classmates, and develop the habits they need for success in school and beyond.
Missing even a few days can make it harder for students to keep up with instruction, assignments, and important classroom experiences. That is why we need our entire Bobcat community working together to make daily attendance a priority.
💙 Three Ways Families Can Support Great Attendance:
1. Establish a consistent morning routine.
Set a regular bedtime, prepare clothes and backpacks the night before, and allow enough time in the morning to arrive at school on time.
2. Make school attendance a family priority.
Whenever possible, schedule appointments, vacations, and other activities outside of school hours. If your child is healthy and able to attend, please make every effort to send them to school every day.
3. Communicate with the school.
If your child must be absent, please send a note or appropriate documentation to the school as soon as possible so that the absence can be reviewed and cleared when applicable. Unresolved absences may remain unexcused.
🌟 Remember: Attendance + Engagement = Achievement!
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure every Bobcat has the opportunity to RISE to their PRIME! Together, we can help our students build the attendance habits that lead to academic success.
Every Student. Every Day. Every Opportunity. 🐾
RISE to our PRIME

Attendance Matters!
- The best attendance is in the 9th, 8th, 7th, and 5th! Congratulations to all of these grades for ensuring that our students are hear everyday to learn and achieve!
- Grade TK, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 10th, 11th, and 12th are in the decline this week! Teachers and family members lets continue to emphasize the importance of daily attendance. Learning happens when children are in seat! Parents ensure to send absence notes for all absent days.
Let's keep the green attendance bars high and let's stay excited!

"I don't have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness-it's right in front of me if I'm paying attention and practicing gratitude."
-Brene Brown
This year, I ask that we lean into hope.
Hope for our students.
Hope for one another.
Hope for our school.
Hope for the collective future we are building together.
Let us begin and end this year believing that what we do together can make a difference—and that the best is still ahead. Let these snapshots be proof of the strength of our community.
