Superintendent Weekly Update

Volume 4/Issue 19 - January 12th, 2025
We are back at it! We had a terrific two days of PD before the second semester kicked off with staff and we had a FULL week of action with students! We are happy to be back in the swing of things and now we can put the pedal to the metal. Let's get off on the right foot and give our best effort each day. Our 100% may look different each day but if you give it your best, that is giving it your all!

Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
What is your best...
Good morning!
Welcome to the New Year and I hope you had a blessed holiday season with family, loved ones, and friends! I also hope that your Sunday is going great and I wish you a great week! As we move into the new semester and the new year, there is always a great optimism that this is going to be "my year." I have read many articles saying that although that is a terrific mindset, why start just when the new calendar year rolls in? Why wait until Monday? Why wait until next month? It is a great question because we find ways to push things back to give us a little more time.
The old saying goes, there is no time like the present so don't hesitate to go now! Also, do you know why our resolutions fall short quickly (this is a big statistic). According to the Fischer College of Business (February 2nd, 2023), "Researchers suggest that only 9% of Americans that make resolutions complete them. In fact, research goes on to show that 23% of people quit their resolution by the end of the first week, and 43% quit by the end of January." The reason why: when most people fall short one time or one day, they let it dictate that it is over until next year.
Giving your best, even when you feel you’ve fallen short, shows your resilience and growth. It’s in these times of shortfalls that your effort carries the most value, as it reflects a determination to push forward despite obstacles. Success isn’t always measured by the outcome but by the commitment and intention behind your actions. Each attempt, whether it meets your expectations or not, builds experience, strength, and character. Remember, even what feels like a small step forward is progress, and showing up with your best effort, however imperfect, is a victory in itself.
Have a great rest of your Sunday and I will see you tomorrow!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"I sometimes fell short of being the best, but I never fell short of giving it my best."

Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
