The Eagle Eye
January 2024
Eagle News from Principal Bautista, Noticias Águilas de la Directora Bautista
Families of Orchard Place,
Our winter break provided an opportunity to recharge for the new year and step out of our daily routines. With two E-Learning Days in January, the Orchard Place staff extends our gratitude to parents and caregivers who ensured our Eagles were logged into Zoom and engaging in learning from home!
Health & Safety
Orchard Place is a smoke-free and pet-free campus. Smoking is not allowed on school grounds and pets are not allowed on school grounds.
Students are expected to wear winter coats, hats and gloves to school each day during winter. If students would like to play in the snow during recess, they will also need snowpants and boots. Students may not arrive to school with layered hoodies or sweaters, a winter jacket is required for these temperatures. If your Orchard Place child is in need of a winter coat, do not hesitate to contact our front office at 847-824-1255 or email bautistaj@d62.org.
Birthdays and other celebrations are a special time for our students. District 62 welcomes you to prepare non-food items to share with your child's class that will be sent home at the end of the day!
Hearing & Vision screenings for select grade levels and students will occur on Friday, January 26. Parents were sent home a notification on January 8 if their child will participate in the school screenings.
