News from Principal Bunting
We appreciate your continued support as we cultivate a safe, enriching learning experience for our students.
Here are the latest updates at CAIS:
- Report cards for the second marking period are available within the Parent Portal. Log into a web browser version of PowerSchool (not the app) to view the report. To do this, click on the "Student Reports" on the left of the screen. Please contact your child's guidance counselor, Mrs. Goldman, kgoldman@blmfld.org (grade 5), or Mrs. Glenney, aglenney@blmfld.org (grade 6), if you need support accessing the report card.
- Thank you to the families and community members who attended Tuesday's Winter Art Show and today's Special Person Lunch. The students look forward to sharing this quality time with the important people in their lives! Keep checking your email and the CAIS Chronicles for the next event.
- First Friday dress down days will begin on February 7th. Grade 5 and 6 students will be allowed to dress out of uniform every first Friday of the month. The initiative was inspired by a sixth grade student who advocated for students to dress out of uniform. A major shout-out goes to Tresanne Stanberry for submitting a proposal and Kiera Golding & Rosayn Mabee for collecting signatures to support the cause.
- Families, please notify the school with contact (phone, email) updates so we may connect with you as needed.
Sincerely,
Ms. Bunting
News from the Nurse
Dear Parents,
As a friendly reminder, we are still in the cold /flu season. To prevent the spread of cold/flu in the school, we recommend that your child stay home if they are experiencing cold/flu symptoms. Please use the "Stay at Home Guidelines" to assist you in determining when to keep your child home. If you have any questions or concerns, I can be reached at 860-286-2638.
