August 22, 2025
Hello TVMS families,
It was wonderful seeing so many families at New Student Orientation and our Back to School Block Party! We look forward to welcoming our Timberwolves on the first day of school—Monday, August 25, 2025. Doors open at 8:15 a.m., and classes begin at 8:30 a.m.
This year, we are excited to introduce our schoolwide theme: We Are Better Together. We can’t wait to partner with you in making this a successful year for every student.
Together, we make TVMS a great place to learn and grow.

Important: Update your Student/ Family Emergency Information Today!
This must be updated each school year
Parents/guardians must verify and/or update emergency information for each child every school year. This is completed online in Family File, which has several new updates including how and where to access. Full details on updating your Family File are available online.
One exciting new feature is that families now can submit a change of address via Family File, rather than completing a separate form and sending to their school.
Full directions and information for families on this new process can be found online.
2025-2006 School Supply List can be found here
The school supply list can also be found on the TVMS website:
Corded Headphones for academic use
In addition to the linked school supply list, students will need to bring a pair of headphones with a cord to plug into their Chromebooks. Students are not permitted to use AirPods and other wireless ear buds in an effort to eliminate cell phone use and distractions. Classrooms will also have headphones for students to borrow if they do not bring their own.
Important News From the Nurse
HCPSS requires a new medication order form each school year, dated on or after July 1st, for all medications, including both prescription and over-the-counter medications. Over-the-counter medications must be received by the health room in new, unopened containers and be clearly labeled with the student’s name. The links to the order forms are below:
Immunization requirements for the 2025-2026 school year - 7th grade students
Effective the first day of school for the 2025-2026 school year, 1 dose of Tdap vaccine and 1 dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MCV4) are required by the state of Maryland for all students entering grade 7. Many students may have already received these immunizations, but the Health Room may not have the updated immunization record. Please contact your student’s doctor and send or fax an updated copy of your student’s immunizations to the Health Room or schedule an appointment to have your student receive these immunizations. Our fax number is 443-973-5510. The Health Department provides immunization opportunities for kids who are not up-to-date on school-required vaccinations. Call the Health Department at 410-313-7500 for more information and to schedule a vaccination appointment for your child.
