Final Message from the Superintendent: A Moment of Gratitude and Reflection
Dear Centennial School District Community,
As I conclude my five-year tenure as your Superintendent and bring to a close my 22nd year serving in this vital role across different districts, I am filled with profound gratitude and immense pride in what we have accomplished together.
The Superintendent's Journey
The role of superintendent is both rewarding and demanding. With an average tenure of just 3-4 years nationally, the position requires navigating complex challenges including budget constraints, policy changes, community expectations, and the ever-evolving landscape of education. The responsibility of leading a district requires balancing the needs of diverse stakeholders while maintaining unwavering focus on student achievement and well-being. It is a privilege that comes with significant challenges, but one that has provided me with the greatest professional satisfaction of my career.
Unprecedented Success Through Unprecedented Challenges
Together, we have achieved unprecedented success, particularly during one of the most challenging periods in educational history. Despite the global pandemic that disrupted traditional learning, we adapted, innovated, and emerged stronger. We maintained high academic standards while prioritizing student well-being. We implemented new technologies, created flexible learning environments, and supported families through extraordinary circumstances. Our graduation rates remained strong, our students continued to excel in academics and extracurriculars, and we maintained the sense of community that defines Centennial School District.
This success belongs to all of us—it is a testament to what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared vision and unwavering commitment to student success.
Gratitude to Our Community
To our students who have been the heart and soul of our mission—you have inspired me daily with your resilience, curiosity, and determination. You have shown remarkable adaptability and strength, especially during challenging times, and you are the reason we do this important work.
To our dedicated teachers and staff—you are true heroes in every sense of the word. Your unwavering commitment to our students, your innovative approaches to learning, and your compassion have created an environment where every child can thrive. You have gone above and beyond, time and again, to ensure our students receive the education they deserve.
To our parents and guardians—thank you for your partnership, trust, and support. Your engagement in your children's education and your collaboration with our schools have been instrumental in our collective success. You have been our partners in nurturing the next generation of leaders and thinkers.
To our broader community—your investment in public education, whether through volunteer hours, advocacy, or simply believing in our mission, has made an immeasurable difference in the lives of our students.
Building on Our Foundation
As I transition from this role, I encourage you to build upon the strong foundation we have created together. The systems, relationships, and culture of excellence we have established position Centennial School District to achieve even greater heights. Continue to support innovation in education, advocate for resources our students need, and maintain the collaborative spirit that has made our district exceptional.
Looking Forward
While my time as your superintendent comes to an end, my commitment to public education and belief in the potential of every student continues. I am confident that Centennial School District will continue to flourish under new leadership, building on our shared accomplishments and reaching new milestones.
Thank you for allowing me to serve this remarkable community. Thank you for your partnership, your trust, and your dedication to our shared mission. The memories, relationships, and achievements we have created together will remain with me always.
With deepest gratitude and warmest wishes for continued success,
Dr. Dana T. Bedden

WD Elementary Celebrates "Switch Day" with Style and Spirit!
As the school year winds down, WD Elementary is making every moment count with an ABC Countdown Calendar full of fun and excitement. Recently, students and staff marked "S" Day by celebrating Switch Day, a creative and spirited event where roles were reversed through fashion!
Teachers and students swapped styles, with students arriving in button-up shirts, ties, blazers, and even a few fabulous dresses to mirror their favorite staff members. Some carried "teacher bags," sported ID badges, and even took on the role of our beloved security team, adding an extra layer of fun and appreciation.
Laughter echoed through the hallways as staff dressed like students and posed for photos with their pint-sized lookalikes. It was a joyful day that brought smiles, built connections, and showcased the strong sense of community at WD Elementary.
Be sure to check out the photos that captured the spirit of the day—one of many special moments as we count down to summer break!

The SWPBIS program at Willow Dale hosted a service project throughout the school year. Students worked together to make over 100 blankets to donate to Project Linus a local organization that provides comfort blankets in times of need for children in our community. Students and staff worked together to complete these blankets and showed amazing PAWS behavior. A representative from Project Linus came to Willow Dale to speak about the project and to collect the 100 blankets that were donated.

The District no longer is posting eFlyers to any social media outlets or the District cable channel. You may refer to Policy 913 for additional information.
