TGMS Weekly Updates

We are off to a fantastic start. Toll Gate Middle School is hosting its annual Walk-a-thon Fundraiser. Last year's Walk-a-thon was a HUGE success and we are looking forward to a great event this year. The money raised will help to fund student events and programs throughout the school year. The program runs from October 2 - October 30. Take a look at the flyer and scan the QR code for more details, including a list of fun incentives!

Toll Gate Champions are students who through their actions have proven to be: Responsible, Respectful and Remarkable. These students are our "TGMS Champions". At the conclusion of each month, a select handful of students are chosen who best exemplify these leadership traits. We proudly display their pictures on a special wall in our entryway, designated as "Student Pillars of Character".

The following students were chosen for the month of September:

Fifth Grade: Devin Jordan, Oliver Waldbillig, Kalia Burgess

Hailee Rice and Cortez (Tripp) Hankton

Sixth Grade: Evan Shaffer, Karleigh Kiser, Jaden Adoma, Drake Downard

ArianaChambers, Malachi Peterson and Liana Resseguie

Veterans Day is rapidly approaching. Toll Gate Middle School would like to take the opportunity to recognize and honor those who have served or are currently serving our country in the armed services. We are asking that you fill out the form below and have your son/daughter return it to school by Wednesday, November 4. If you have a friend or a family member who is currently serving or who has served our country, please write his/her name, the war they fought in (if applicable), the military branch served under, and the name of your Toll Gate student. A star will be made to honor all names returned to us by November 4 . The stars will then be placed on the windows of the Media Center November 11. Thank you for your support of this project.

Stay in the Game with National Sports Day

National Sports Day is a time for students, families, fans, and athletes to come together and celebrate the sports they love. It is more than just honoring athletic events — it is about recognizing the valuable lessons and lifelong benefits that come from healthy competition.

When students engage in sports, they build critical skills like teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. These habits that extend far beyond the playing field. Similarly, coming to school each day requires that same level of commitment and consistency. Just like in sports, showing up for school each day, putting in the effort, and striving for growth are the keys to success.

Ask: Invite your Students and Staff to show their team spirit!

On October 16th, encourage everyone to wear a shirt or jersey representing their favorite sports team. Whether they’re a Tiger, Panther, Buckeye, or simply proud supporters of the Pickerington community. Let’s come together to celebrate National Sports Day with pride and unity!

Every Student and Staff member who participates will receive a special Stay in the Game! sticker to wear or decorate their favorite electronic device.

Let’s make it a day full of school spirit, team pride, and positive energy!
