MCP3 Staff News
Week of 9/14/26
Peterson's Message- K3 Director
Greetings MCP3 Team!
This week there has been great evidence of collaborative teaming across the board! Teams have shared responsibilities within the classroom, both teacher and EA are communicating with families (in person and via dojo), and all teams have been actively working to support scholars in meeting our high expectations. Here are a few specific shout outs for the collaborative teaming I've observed:
- Ms. Clayton addressed an adult during drop off who came in late and was talking very loudly on their phone. It was disruptive to Ms. Miller's teaching and their scholars' learning- so Ms. Clayton very respectfully, yet directly, asked the adult to refrain from having a loud phone conversation while dropping off late as class has started. Ballin' on 3...1...2...3... tap*Clap* BALLIN"!!
- Ms. Blevins and Ms. Harrell have been team teaching! They both are up front during carpet time- giving instructions and leading various components of the lessons. Clap swoosh on 3...1...2...3.. CLAP*SWOOSH!
This week, let's focus on increasing our use of Positive Descriptive Feedback. Most of our scholars have only been in this structured of an environment for 12 days! It is OUR responsibility to narrate the excellent behavior we see from our scholars as they follow our rules, RAPS, and expectations. This is how they get the reinforcement of a job well done and understand how their behavior shows safety, responsibility, and respect.
Challenge yourself to teach some MCP cheers this week and connect them with your Positive Descriptive feedback to bring the high expectations AND JOY!
With all the Love and Respect,
Peterson

ClassDojo
We want to ensure we have 100% of families connected on Dojo! Here is where we are currently at:
- Panthers- 95%
- Tigers- 94%
- Antelopes- 89%
- Bulldogs- 100%
- Golden Eagles- 95%
**Be sure to edit your class if you have scholars that are unenrolled and add students to your class when you get new scholars!
Shout out to Bulldogs for their 100% of families connected! Shout out to Bulldogs & Golden Eagles for their daily posting on their classroom stories last week! Highlighting and sharing the incredible learning experiences with families helps strengthen our school/home relationships!
**Friday means it is time for your classroom dojo incentive! Scholars should be rewarded for their good behavior from the week. Remember- not everybody gets a cookie. So if scholars have not earned the prizes/incentives that's ok. They can try again next week. Be specific with which classroom expectation and rule they need to work on. If you need support with setting up your classroom dojo incentive please reach out!
Field Trips🚌
All classrooms need to have their Quarter 1 Field Trips scheduled by 9/18. This will allow adequate time for ordering busses as needed. Quarter 1 Field Trips should be scheduled to happen before the end of the Quarter.
**Make sure to reference the MCP calendar when scheduling field trips.
**Classrooms may wish to buddy up with other rooms for Field Trips.
**Once Field Trip is scheduled- staff should fill out the Field Trip form on the MCP Launch Page.
**Classrooms have a $2,600 budget for the year for Field Trips.
