Rock Your School
Wild About Learning!
Thank You, Madison Donors
A special shout out to the Madison families who donated funds toward a special school wide snack on Friday. The animal crackers were packaged creatively, delivered by the Safari Jeep seen here, and were gobbled up by our Mustangs. Thank you!

Celebrating Veterans at Madison
Your help in honoring our men and women currently in uniform, and those who have served in the past, is truly appreciated. We would like to invite any Veterans who are available on November 11, 2026 to join us for a celebration honoring their service to our nation. Our Veterans are welcome to begin arriving at Madison anytime after 8:30 AM. We will have an all-school assembly starting at 9:15 in our gym. Afterwards, there will be a reception in our cafeteria until 10:30 for the Veterans and their student(s) at Madison. If you have a Veteran who will be attending, please email Mrs. Becklund at Leah.Becklund@ahschools.us. When you email your RSVP, please let us know which student(s) are connected to your Veteran. Please RSVP by Wednesday, November 4th.

Madison Watch D.O.G.S.
What is Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students)? Watch D.O.G.S. is a national program that encourages positive male role models in school. Dads or Dad-like adults are encouraged to spend one day a year in school volunteering in classrooms and offering another set of eyes and ears for supervision. This year Watch Dogs will be shortened to a half-day experience.
Who are Watch D.O.G.S.? Any male that has a positive relation with a Madison student. Such as a Grandpa, Uncle, Dad, Step-dad, Big Brother, etc. All volunteers should read the Volunteer Handbook and SafeGuard Privacy information as well. If you have any questions, you can contact Sara Evans (Volunteer Services Coordinator).
How do you become a Watch D.O.G.? Everyone who wants to participate must complete the following each year:
Dogs & Pets During Arrival & Dismissal
Speaking of Dogs... 😅
In response to recent complaints, we just want to remind Madison families that pets are generally prohibited on Anoka-Hennepin School District grounds, with exceptions strictly limited to trained service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and authorized law enforcement or public safety animals.
General Pet Restrictions
- Pets Generally Not Allowed: Unofficial pets (including pet dogs) are not permitted inside school buildings or at school/district events. We prefer that they are not at arrival or dismissal due to a number of instances when it has been problematic. Please keep them in your vehicles or at home. Dogs on leashes should be kept clear of any students and/or families when they must be on school grounds.
- Local Ordinances & Property Control: School property is privately controlled public institution space; district policies and local municipal animal control laws (such as leash and waste removal laws) apply to any permitted or adjacent public access areas.
Volunteering at Madison
Be Ready! Complete your volunteer application now!
- To start the process, please complete the Volunteer Application Form and the Criminal Record History Release Form. This process is required each year!
- You will be contacted once the paperwork is processed. Please note some volunteer activities require additional processing, which can take up to two weeks.
- If you anticipate volunteering at any time this school year, please complete the paperwork now.
- We appreciate that you are willing to share your time and talents with us. Thank you.
- If you have questions, please contact Madison's Volunteer Services Coordinator, Sara Evans (sara.evans@ahschools.us)
