Dear Pingree Community,

Happy October!

What a way to end the week! The Pingree Fun Run Kickoff Assembly was a huge success. The students were excited to show their school spirit with their class colors and their fantastic chants. Even the office got into the fun! Thank you to Amanda Adams, the Fun Run Committee and the Parent Council for all their planning, hard work and enthusiasm! Check out the events Parent Council has planned this month in the calendar below.

Speaking of our amazing Parent Council, I neglected to acknowledge them publicly for making the entrance to Pingree so beautiful. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, please walk by the front of the school. I am not know for my gardening skills, but I am doing my best to keep it thriving!

As I mentioned last week, I have been spending some time preparing students for what to do in an emergency. I have been talking with students in library about ways to stay safe and how to respond to intruders. All discussions and materials will be age-appropriate. Please let us know if you have any questions about topics discussed. We are continuing our discussions this week.

We hope everyone enjoyed a great weekend.
