As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5th - May 9th), we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible dedication, passion, and hard work of our exceptional teachers.

Our teachers are the heart of EXCEL Academy. They go above and beyond every single day to inspire, educate, and support our students. They create engaging learning environments, nurture individual growth, and make a lasting impact on the lives of your children. Their commitment to EXCEL-lence is truly commendable, and we are so fortunate to have such a talented and caring team.

This week provides a wonderful opportunity for us to collectively express our gratitude for their tireless efforts. We encourage you to join us in showing our teachers how much we appreciate them.

Here are a few ways you and your child can participate:

• Send a heartfelt note or card: A simple handwritten message from your child (or the whole family!) expressing thanks for a specific lesson, a moment of support, or their overall impact can mean the world to a teacher.
• Create a small piece of artwork or a poem: Encourage your child to get creative and make something special to show their appreciation.
• Offer a small token of appreciation: A small gift, such as a favorite treat, a plant, or a gift card, is a thoughtful way to acknowledge their hard work (please keep any gifts modest and from the heart).
• Send a thank you email: A brief email expressing your gratitude for their dedication and the positive impact they have on your child's education is always appreciated.

May is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of mental well-being and reducing stigma. By opening up conversations about mental health, we create a more supportive and compassionate community for students, parents, staff, and educators.

Mental health affects us all—it impacts how we learn, teach, and cope with daily challenges. This month, we’ll be working together to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.
