Principal Update

We have been in attendance for nearly a month now and things are going very well! Traffic is moving through safely and efficiently and students have the bus procedures down and are improving on the time to load at the end of the day. Teachers are getting the hang of how to plan for in-person, remote, and fully remote students at the same time and deliver effective instruction to all three groups. Our fall sports teams have had wonderful fall seasons and much success. We couldn’t ask for a better opening to the school year under these circumstances. I would like to give a big pat on the back to all of the staff at CIS and the Central Office for the hard work they put into making this year a success. The time and thought put into planning for students was well worth it. Thank you all for the patience and the communication with the school. We appreciate hearing from you about what is and what is not working. I hope everyone has had a great start to the year and we look forward to what is to come!

Assistant Principal Update

It is so nice to see students filling our hallways and classrooms again! Despite the extended time out of school, students are doing a wonderful job with all of the new procedures in place. Students, staff, and families have made our first month of school a great one due to their patience, flexibility, positivity, and dedication to Central! Thank you!

PTO Update

Welcome back to school! We are so excited to be back and ready to support staff and students in old and new ways. Our first meeting is October 1 at 7 pm in the CIS library. For those not ready to come to a meeting in person, please look for an email with instructions how to join virtually. The PTO purchased lanyards for masks for all staff and students, and looking around in the schools it looks like they are getting good use. PTO assisted with 4th Grade Night at CIS, allowing students and parents to see their new building and meet their teacher. We are not planning a fall fundraiser like usual, we know many families are dealing with so much and do not want to add to it. We know this year is different, but look forward to being a constant support for Central.

Thanks,

Stephanie Redlingshafer

PTO President

Introducing Mrs. Bagley - School Social Worker

Hi! I am Maggie Bagley and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I’m so excited to have joined the Central staff. I will be the School Social Worker for Central Primary and Central Intermediate Schools. The School Social Worker works with some of our Special Education Students on Social, Emotional, and Behavioral skills. I also help complete evaluations on students to see if they may need extra services. In addition, the Social Worker can support staff, teachers, and students with our schools Social Emotional Learning goals. I’m looking forward to a great year!

Please take some time and sign up for Renaissance Home Connect! This will allow you to receive instant notifications as soon as your student completes a STAR test!
