Farmington Football Sept 1 Update
September 1, 2024
September 1, 2024 Farmington Football Parent Newsletter
The varsity game on Thursday was one of the crazier games I have been a part of. Not only did the weather push the game back an hour, but the sideline replay system wouldn't work, the headsets wouldn't work, and despite all that... we won in overtime! The guys had a great deal of mental errors and mistakes, but did not let it deter them from persevering.
Monday (Labor Day): Practice for 10-12 starts with lifting at 5:30pm. 9th graders start practice at 6:00pm
Tuesday: 10B plays Forest Lake at 4:30pm at BMS. (Bus time 3:15)
Wednesday: Practice as usual for all levels.
Thursday: 9A plays South at 5:15pm at BMS. (Bus time 4:15)
10A plays South at 7:00pm at BMS. (Bus time 6:00)
Friday: Varsity plays at Lakeville South at 7:00pm. (Bus time 5:05)
Former Tigers compete!
On Saturday, Mr. Badger, Coach Bullis, Coach Sutton and I drove to Ames, Iowa to watch Eli Green (Iowa State) and Braden Mohr (UND) compete at Jack Trice Stadium. It was an awesome experience to see them both play! Also a tremendous venue and college game day atmosphere!
Please understand that this schedule is fluid and will change.
Pictures are ready!

HELP NEEDED!
The Booster Club needs help!

The booster club is looking for volunteers to help out with team meals!
Schoology and Hudl
Schoology will be the primary form of communication with our players during the season. Players and coaches will use schoology for playbooks, assignments, plus various other resources. We would like for the player to learn how to communicate with their coaches using that platform. There will be a 9th grade schoology page and a 10-12 schoology page. These pages are set up already, and I've largely placed all participants in the right spot.
Hudl is the way in which we review practice and game film. It is an integral part of the learning process. Much like schoology, there is a 9th grade hudl group, and a 10-12 hudl group. Your son will get into hudl the first days of practice, if they have not already.
Story of the Season
New this year! Farmington High School Football has hired "Story of the Season" to make and compile our new weekly online media guide. This will include pictures, game stories, highlights, interviews and players of the game, representing every level of Farmington Football. If you are interested in advertising your company in the new media guide, please contact Randy Fulsaas at: rFulsaas@millerhartwig.com
Also, if you are interested in doing a "senior message" to your son commemorating his time playing football, those will be available for $50. Contact Coach Pieper directly about this.
Here is our first edition of Story of the Season! It turned out awesome! https://storyoftheseason.net/2024football/farmington/chapter0/
