Dear SHS Families,
I want to start this letter by thanking our staff and students for showing their flexibility and hospitality as roof construction continued this week. Construction and cleanup have been extended into the weekend, however, and with a bit of extra cleanup to do, we have been given a completion time of no later than Wednesday the 25th.
A reminder that there will be no school this Monday, Sept. 23rd for teacher inservices and Faith Development. We hope that students enjoy their extra day this weekend.
Next Wednesday, September 25th, will be picture day for all grade levels here at SHS. Please make sure that your student is wearing their red polo with the school crest this day. Check my previous email or go to the school website to find more details and information regarding picture ordering.
I’m saddened to announce that the Virtus Class that was set to be offered here on Saturday, September 28th, has been canceled due to health concerns with our trainer, Ann Hunsicker. Carmelita from the Church office will be reaching out to anyone signed up for the class to find another available option. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you keep Ann in your prayers.
Advertisements for the Sacred Heart Parish Fall Festival have begun to ramp up, and we are anticipating another fun day of games, good food, and an outstanding community for the whole family. Be on the lookout for fliers and more information coming in the next week, and mark Sunday, October 13th on your calendar. You won’t want to miss out!
Students were also treated to popsicles this Friday as a tribute to the official last day of summer coming this weekend. I want to thank the Saylers for their generosity. I think that many can agree that the shift into fall weather will be greatly appreciated by us all.
With Faith & Hope,
Patrick (P.J.) Greer
