Message from Mr. Imbusch

Dear students, staff, and parents/guardians:

As we approach Martin Luther King Jr. Day this Monday, I want to take a moment to reflect on the legacy of Dr. King and the powerful lessons his life’s work continues to teach us. His unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and nonviolence inspires us to build a school community where every student feels valued and supported. This weekend, please remember Dr. King’s vision and consider how we can all contribute to creating a more inclusive and compassionate world.

This Wednesday, January 22nd, marks the end of the first semester. We do not change the order of days, so Thursday 23rd will be a Day 2. Students should check their S2 study schedule in Aspen. If there are any issues: blanks or being double scheduled (outside of B Block with your seminar (Juniors and Sophomores only)) please fill out this form so that we can make the necessary updates. Please note that only students will have access to this form. If your schedule looks correct, they can ignore this request.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Sincerely,

Stephen Imbusch

Principal

WHS Photography Club

The Photography Club will meet Thursday January 23. The theme is Temperature. How do you take a picture of temperature you ask? Well it's not the actual thermometer, it's "Things that invoke the feelings of different temperatures". Yes we are trying to get creative. So do you have a cozy blanket that gives you that feeling of warmth? Did you see an icicle that gives you that cold feeling? Do you have a certain article of clothing that makes you warm or feel cool? That's how we interpret this week's theme. Interpret it any way you want and get creative. Anyone that would like information on the Photography Club can contact: jdagostino@walpole.k12.ma.us and follow our instagram to see our club's photos: photography_whs123

WHS Robotics

The Robotics Team is very busy this month with the 2025 game Reefscape being unveiled. The team will be very busy getting to work on designing, building and programming their newest robot for the new season. They just finished up their fall training session by building an elevator mechanism with a wrist. It was a great experience for many members of the team to learn how to design this mechanism on CAD, build it, and program the elevator for the first time. These will all be useful skills in the upcoming season.

First Lego League (FLL) just wrapped up with the 3 teams and they had a great season with one team making it to states. Congratulations to them.

So please read the newsletter to find out all the news because there is a whole lot more.
