Dear Paul F. Doyon Memorial School Families,
Dear Doyon Families,
As we approach the end of another wonderful school year, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to our students, families, and staff for making this such a successful year. Thank you for your involvement, support, and partnership throughout the year. Your engagement helps make Doyon a truly special place to learn and grow. This is the last Doyon News for the 2025-2026 school year. Anticipate a mid-summer edition of the Doyon News, sharing bits and pieces to help you prepare ahead.
This week, our Kβ8 Beach Day was a tremendous success! Students enjoyed a beautiful day together, creating memories and celebrating the many accomplishments of the school year. Thank you to everyone who helped make this tradition possible.
A few important reminders as we close out the year:
- No School tomorrow, Friday, June 19.
- Grade 5 Moving On Ceremony: Our Moving On Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 23 at 9:15 AM. Families are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking and seating. We look forward to celebrating our fifth-grade students and all they have accomplished during their time at Doyon.
- Report Cards: Report cards for students in grades 1β4 will be sent home in backpacks on June 23. Grade 5 report cards will be mailed home on June 22.
- Class Placement Letters: Placement letters for the 2026β2027 school year will be mailed home on July 1.
- Lost and Found: Any remaining lost and found items will be donated on July 1, 2026. If your child is missing any belongings, please be sure to check the lost and found before then.
- Summer Reading Lists & Supplies: Information about these two topics are shown below. Simply click on the button, "Summer Supply & Reading Lists." Thank you to our teachers and Ms. Hohenstein for coordinating this user-friendly resource!
Although students will be enjoying a well-deserved summer break, school administration will continue to be in the building throughout the summer months. Please do not hesitate to reach out if we can assist you in any way.
As we reflect on this school year, we are incredibly grateful for the partnership we share with our families. Together, we have celebrated achievements, overcome challenges, and created meaningful experiences for our students. Thank you for entrusting us with your children each day.
We wish all of our families a safe, relaxing, and joyful summer filled with fun, adventure, and time together. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall.
Warmly,
Mr. Whitehouse-Mullen, Principal
Mrs. Benincasa, Assistant Principal
Thank You for Making a Difference
As the 2025β2026 school year comes to a close, we would be remiss if we did not take a moment to recognize and celebrate the educators who are retiring. Mrs. Cardew, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Carbonneau, and Mr. Fremont-Smith. While we are excited for them as they begin this new chapter, their presence, wisdom, and contributions will be greatly missed. We thank them for all they have given to our schools and wish them happiness, good health, and many wonderful adventures in retirement.
Last Day of School *Changed to Early Release*
We've been getting a lot of questions about the last day of school. The last day of school for grades 1-11 will be June 23rd. The schedule for dismissal will be 11:20am dismissal for middle & high school and 11:50am dismissal for both elementary schools. Staff have the rest of the day to complete their checkout process before heading into summer!
Photo Reminder
As we enjoy upcoming school events and celebrations, we kindly remind everyone to be mindful when taking photos. Please avoid photographing or recording children other than your own, and do not share images of other students on social media or other public platforms without their family's permission.
We appreciate your help in respecting the privacy and safety of all of our students and families.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Nurse's Notes
Dear Doyon Families,
A few housekeeping notes:
1. If your child has medication or supplies in the nurseβs office, this medication must be picked up/sent home prior to the last day of school. Please call/email to arrange pick up.
2. Each new school year you will need to bring in new medication and new orders from your childβs physician.
3. If your child is on a Health Care Plan this will carry into next year. If there are any changes you would like to make, please let me know. In addition, should anything new arise over the summer, please let me know π
4. Screenings are mostly complete - I'm just finishing up those who I missed. Referral Letters will be coming home next week in your child's backpack. Keep in mind that these screenings are not for diagnostic purposes but to determine if your child needs further evaluation.
5. Schedule those summer physicals! It is always a good idea to have a recent physical exam on file and keep your child's health record up to date.
Wishing you a healthy and happy summer!
