Moriah I. Brings Magic to Media Arts!

This month, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Moriah I., a talented SkillUpOHVA Media Arts Pathway student who brought her creativity to life through her very own podcast, Magic in Motion!

Moriah created an engaging interview-style show all about the world of animation—and she did everything herself. From writing a dynamic script to voicing multiple characters and mastering her audio in Adobe Audition, her work reached a truly professional level.

One of the standout moments? Her incredible voice interpretation of Snow White—it’s so spot-on, you have to hear it to believe it!

Moriah’s podcast is not only fun to listen to, but also full of interesting insights. We’re so proud of her hard work, creativity, and dedication. Keep shining, Moriah!

Cardy Club Creators Shine!

Cardy Club is buzzing with creativity this year, and our K–5 students are showing off some amazing skills! Through fun, hands-on activities, these young learners are exploring different career pathways and discovering what they love—all in a supportive, engaging environment.

The club is powered by the incredible leadership of Mrs. Jackson’s Early Childhood Education students, who design and lead each session. Their thoughtful, skill-building activities are helping our Cardy Club members grow, imagine, and create with confidence.

At our most recent meeting, students took on a 3D pumpkin design challenge—and their creativity did not disappoint. Check out this fantastic pumpkin created by Jason, one of our talented club members! His work is just one example of the excitement and imagination happening every in Cardy Club.

We’re so proud of all our Cardy Club creators and the ECE students who make these moments possible! Keep shining, everyone!

FFA travels to the Ohio Farm Science Review

On September 18th, several Agricultural students and their Advisor met at Farm Science Review in London Ohio. There, they investigated the present and future of farming.

Farm Science Review is a place where you can learn and see the latest advancements in agricultural technology. In addition to technology, they also offer countless exhibits, educational sessions, career exploration fairs, and much more.

But that’s not even the highlight! You can’t visit the Farm Science Review without seeing the field demonstrations! Jump aboard a tractor pulled wagon to see field demonstrations featuring the latest drones, tractors pulling discs, planting, as well as many others. Visit Farm Science Review next year from September 22nd-26th and join us in exploring the root of American future.

We’re excited to share a fantastic opportunity open to all OHVA students in grades 9–12! Students now have the chance to earn Industry-Recognized Credentials (IRCs)—powerful additions to any resume or college application. Even better, these credentials can count toward a Foundational Competency Alternative and help students earn one of Ohio’s Readiness Seals, making them an excellent step toward graduation and future career success.
