Campus Communication - Please Read!
We want to ensure our families are receiving accurate and reliable information regarding our school and what is happening on campus.
Please know that official information regarding Majestic Gardens, including updates, procedures, events, and campus matters, will come directly from the school or district, no other avenue. We are aware that information is sometimes being shared by individuals who are not school personnel. While we understand that questions and conversations may occur, information shared outside of official school communication may not be accurate or reflect what is actually happening on our campus.
Our campus does not endorse or support unofficial communication presented as factual information about the school. For this reason, we encourage families to consider the source and rely on communication that comes directly from Majestic Gardens. What we do NOT appreciate are rumors, false information, or gossip being shared amongst our community while we are open to communication. As mentioned prior, consider your sources when making determinations and/or conclusions. We are a school full of dedicated professional educators determined to make our school safe, an enriched learning environment, and committed to build leaders that will make an impact.
If you have a question, concern, or hear information that you would like clarified, please reach out to us directly. We do not and will not endorse any other source of communication as well as share concerns of those that choose to rely and contribute to such communications that do not reflect what we are accomplishing as a school. We are always happy to provide accurate information and address questions with our families. While some communication is meant to support and clarify for our school, some communication is attempting to misalign us and that is not appropriate. I appreciate any and all support for our school that is aligned to what is communicated or represented from our school. We are a school of choice and very much appreciate your choice to choose us; there should be no distractions that we cannot appropriately work through.
Thank you for partnering with us and helping ensure our school community stays accurately informed, connected, and focused on our students, always.

Teacher/Family Communication
As we continue building a strong school community together, we want to share an important reminder about communication and the partnership between our families and teachers.
Our teachers care deeply about their students and are committed to providing the highest level of support and service to every child and family. We also recognize that strong communication and collaboration with families are essential to student success. We are always open to questions, feedback, and opportunities to work together.
At the same time, it has come to our attention that some of our teachers are spending a significant amount of time responding to daily email communications and completing additional requests or tasks that are not necessary for the educational experience of our students. While these requests are often made with the best of intentions, the cumulative impact is becoming significant and is taking valuable time away from our teachers' primary responsibility: teaching and learning with their students.
We have an incredible team of educators at Majestic Gardens. Their time, energy, and attention are most valuable when they are planning meaningful instruction, analyzing student learning, providing feedback, building relationships, and supporting students in the classroom.
We kindly ask that families be thoughtful and considerate of the requests being made of our teachers. Before sending a request, please consider whether it is necessary, whether it can be addressed through our established campus procedures, and whether it requires additional work from the teacher. Not every question requires an immediate response, and not every request requires an additional task or accommodation.
This is not a request for families to stop communicating with us. Quite the opposite, we value your voice and want you to feel comfortable reaching out when you have a genuine question, concern, or need. Our goal is simply to ensure that communication remains purposeful, manageable, and centered on what matters most: our students.
We appreciate your partnership, your understanding, and your consideration of our teachers' time. When families and educators work together with trust, respect, and a shared focus on students, we create the kind of school community in which everyone can thrive.
Campus visitors and volunteers
We are excited to welcome families to campus and provide opportunities for you to enjoy lunch with your student. We also want to share a few important expectations to help us maintain a safe, secure, and focused learning environment for all students.
Lunch Visitors:
Families are welcome to have lunch with their student; however, space is limited. We will do our best to accommodate visitors while also adhering to building occupancy and safety regulations. All lunch visitors must:
- Check in at the front office upon arrival.
- Present identification as required by campus procedures.
- Wear a visitor badge for the entirety of your time in the building.
- Remain in the designated lunch visitor area.
- Refrain from escorting students to or from classrooms or other areas of the building.
- Check out through the front office when leaving campus.
We will continue to monitor this process. If needed, we may implement an advanced sign up if we determine the need.
Volunteers:
We greatly value parent volunteers and the support you provide to our students and staff. Any parent or community member volunteering in classrooms, assisting with copying, or working directly with students must have an approved background check on file and receive prior campus approval before volunteering. Please do not report to a classroom or begin volunteer duties without prior approval from the campus.
These procedures are in place to help us maintain a safe and secure campus while keeping learning our priority. We want our families to feel welcomed while also ensuring that we can account for everyone in the building, maintain appropriate supervision, and protect uninterrupted instructional time for our students.
Thank you for partnering with us and helping us create a campus where safety, learning, and student success come first.
Students are required to be in uniform on picture day.
Gifted and Talented Referrals and Screener Information
The Gifted and Talented referral window opens on September 11th for referring students in grades 1st-11th grade. If you were not able to attend the GT presentation at curriculum night, you can view it HERE.
Kindergarten GT screening and assessment will take place in January and February. Please DO NOT complete this form for kindergarten students.
- If your student is already in the GT program at LPS you do not need to complete this form.
Consistent Early Pick-ups
Every minute of instruction matters! We have noticed an increase in students being picked up early on a regular basis, and we want to remind families that consistent attendance for the entire school day is essential to student success.
When students are picked up before the end of the school day, they miss valuable instructional time, classroom discussions, interventions, and opportunities to practice and apply new learning. Those missed minutes add up quickly over the course of a school year.
Additionally, under Texas attendance requirements, students must be in attendance at least 90% of the school year to receive credit for the school year. Regular early pickups count toward missed instructional time and will impact a student's attendance records. We do NOT allow or support regular early pick ups on our campus.
We understand that occasional appointments or emergencies arise, but we ask families to avoid scheduling routine early dismissals whenever possible. Please schedule what you can to Friday's as we have many of them off from school. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure our students are present, engaged, and learning throughout the entire school day.

Through our partnership with Frisco Fastpacs, eligible families can receive a weekly bag of nutritious, kid-friendly food to help provide additional support at home. Walkers
For families choosing Walker dismissal, students are currently dismissed from the front doors at 3:55 p.m. Parents/authorized adults should meet their student at the designated walker area at the front of the school.
To help ensure the safety of our youngest students, we will be holding our Kindergarten and 1st grade walkers a little longer before releasing them from the front doors. This additional time will allow our staff to monitor students and help ensure they are able to safely connect with their parent or authorized adult. If your student is a walker, we do not have a student check out. If you prefer a check out, the carpool is your option. If parents are consistently late for walker pick up, you will no longer be able to be considered a walker and must pick up in the carpool lanes.
We appreciate your patience and partnership as we continue to refine our dismissal procedures and, most importantly, keep our students safe.

School supplies are available for purchase until October 2nd! Here is the breakdown:
Student Classroom Supplies $61.00; Class T-shirts $8.00; Field Trips $100.00 ;Field Day $5.00;

Student Expectations
Please review the Parent/Student handbook prior to the first day of school. HERE is the UPDATED link. You can access information regarding:
- Attendance
- Uniform expectations
- Technology
- Student code of conduct
- And so much more!
We will NOT have additional clothing on hand for students to change into during the school day if needed. Parents, you will need to ensure your student is in dress code everyday as well as provide additional items for students or you will be called to drop off items or pick up your student.
Arrival and Dismissal
Our doors open for drop off at 7:00am each day in the gym, students K-5. All students will enter the building through the gym doors on the south side of the building only. Students will follow their regular schedule each day. Dismissal is at 3:55 pm everyday. Please see more information below regarding our new process for dismissal with PikMyKid as we are diligently working to streamline our process.
PLEASE AVOID ENTERING THE DRIVEWAY DIRECTLY FROM MAIN STREET FOR ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL! BACKING UP MAIN STREET IS BECOMING AN ISSUE!
Thank you all for your patience and for working with us to streamline our process as our goal is efficiency but more importantly safety!
Updates, MUST READ!
The safety of our students is our top priority, and we need the participation of ALL families to ensure arrival and dismissal run safely and efficiently each day. Please review the traffic routes below and enter the car rider line as indicated in the image. Following the designated routes helps keep traffic moving and creates a safer environment for everyone.
As we begin the school year, please be patient with us during the first few weeks. Students, families, and staff are all learning and adjusting to the procedures together. Your cooperation and flexibility are greatly appreciated as we work to establish smooth routines.
Arrival & Dismissal Reminders
Please help us by following these important expectations:
Remain in your vehicle at all times while in the carpool line. NEVER park and get out of your car while in the carpool line. This is a drive though line ONLY where cars should NEVER be parked.
Students must be able to unbuckle/buckle seatbelts and exit/enter the vehicle with little to no assistance. If you feel that your student needs assistance, you may park in a designated parking spot to assist them but NOT in the carpool lane.
- Students must enter and exit the vehicle from the PASSENGER SIDE ONLY for everyone's safety.
- Students may NOT be dropped off or picked up on Majestic Gardens Drive at any time. YOU are risking YOUR student's safety by doing so. Student entry is only allowed at the front of the building.
- Students are only able to access designated entry/exits during arrival and dismissal.
- Families requesting "walker" dismissal must provide proof of residency within one-half (½) mile of the school. Students will only be designated as walkers AFTER approval from the campus. This must be YOUR residence that is on record, not a friend or family member.
- At this time, we are NOT permitting parent "walk ups" as our students are dismissed from inside the building.
- You MUST have your dismissal car tag displayed while in the carpool line. If you do not have your tag, you must park in a designated parking spot and enter the building with your drivers license/passport. We will be printing an additional car tag for each student within the first few weeks of school.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students safe and make arrival and dismissal a positive experience for everyone. Working together, we can ensure a smooth start to the school year!
PikMyKid App
We will be using a new app this year for dismissal called Pikmykid. Below is a video and the parents information guide. We hope that this will be an easy transition and help with the dismissal process. Please review prior to the first day of school for a smooth transition. We truly believe this will make our process more safe and more smooth moving forward. See map below.

Snacks and water bottles
Water Bottles
To help maintain a safe and clean learning environment, all students need a spill-proof water bottle each day. This helps prevent spills that can create safety hazards and disrupt instruction.
Snacks
Students may bring a healthy, dry, and easy-to-eat snack for designated snack times. Choosing simple, mess-free snacks helps students quickly refuel while minimizing distractions and keeping our classrooms clean. Snack items should be easy to open by the student and not include utensils or preparation. We also prefer to avoid peanut products in the classrooms as well.
Some snack suggestions include: protein bars, dried fruit, goldfish, etc.
After School Care
If you are unable to pick up your child by 3:55 p.m., we encourage you to enroll in our after-school care program. Our teachers and staff dedicate long hours each day to supporting student learning and are not able to provide supervision beyond the end of the instructional day. Enrolling in after-school care helps ensure your child is safely supervised while also allowing our staff to conclude their workday as scheduled. We appreciate your partnership in helping us maintain a safe and efficient dismissal process.
