Congratulations to these two individuals who applied and were accepted to THE GREAT DEBATE: THE NATIONAL AND CIVICS DEBATE CHAMPIONSHIP. The event takes place on January 15 – 18 in Orlando. They will be competing with students all over the state in a triathlon of events: extemporaneous debate, impromptu speaking, and Congressional Debate. Please congratulate them when you see them!

Attention Parents:

Fall Picture Retakes will take place on Wednesday!

Please review the following reminders:

• No Cost for Retakes: Having your student’s photo retaken is free unless you choose to purchase a photo package.
• Yearbook Photos: Retake photos will be used in the school yearbook unless otherwise specified.
• New Students: All students who have recently joined PRMS should have their portraits taken.
• Returning Photo Packages: If you purchased a photo package through Leonard’s Photography and would like your student’s picture retaken, please send the original photo package to school with your student so it can be returned to the photographer.

Toys and stuffed animals should NOT be brought to school. Please remind your students that these items should stay at home.

Adjustment to the student second meal price for the 2026-27 school year.

Following guidance from our State Agency, the price must be increased to $5.00 effective this school year.

The reason for this change is that second meals are not eligible for federal reimbursement, meaning the district must recover the full cost of providing those meals. Federal regulations require that second lunch pricing be equal to the free student meal rate, plus the federal reimbursement rate, plus the value of USDA Foods (commodities/bonus foods).
