Out and About in Our Schools Out and About in Our Schools

Incoming 9th graders from Patton and Duniway visited Mac High this morning to get a preview of what high school life will be like.

Students participated in a fun welcome assembly, listened to a presentation about expectations for high school students, toured the campus and attended an Activity Fair to check out what clubs and groups they might like to join next year.

If you missed it, click for the 8th grade parent presentation: English and Spanish.

See the MSD Facebook page for more photos.

Reading and Science Reading and Science

All MSD first grade classrooms get eggs to hatch in the spring. Buel’s hatched last week and became part of reading time in "Read to a Chick" day!

See more reading time photos on our Facebook page.

Lunchtime Fun Lunchtime Fun

Every so often, MSD kitchen staff make special dishes, including the made-from-scratch, whole grain and hand-rolled Pigs in a Blanket.

When board member Larry Vollmer visits schools, he always makes time to sit down and have lunch with kids.

Last Friday, he and fellow board member Abbie Warmbier joined Buel students for his longtime favorite lunch.

Starla Pointer from the News-Register tagged along. Read her story here.

Community Partners

Big shoutout to the McMinnville Kiwanis, which funded a books and seeds donation from the McMinnville Public Library (MPL) and its partner seed library!

The books, bookmarks and seeds will be distributed to elementary schools in the district for various upcoming events. Thank you, Kiwanis!
