Introducing ParentSquare! Introducing ParentSquare!

Dear Patriot Families,

We are excited to introduce ParentSquare, a new communication platform designed to make it easier for our Aubrey Rogers High School families to stay informed, connected, and engaged.

Beginning this week, ParentSquare will become an important part of how ARHS communicates with our families. School updates, classroom information, reminders, and other important messages can all be shared in one convenient place. ParentSquare also provides automatic translation into your preferred language and allows you to receive information by email, text, the ParentSquare app, or online.

Through ParentSquare, families will be able to:

  • Stay up to date on ARHS news, events, and important reminders
  • Communicate directly with teachers and staff
  • Complete forms and permission slips
  • Sign up for conferences and volunteer opportunities
  • View school and classroom calendar events
  • Receive photos, announcements, and updates from across our Patriot community

Our goal is simple: to make communication between home and school easier, more consistent, and more accessible for every family.

We encourage all parents and guardians to download the free ParentSquare mobile app for iOS or Android. ParentSquare can also be accessed online through the ParentSquare website.

As we begin using the platform, we will continue to share information and helpful tips, including how to customize your notification preferences.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for being an important part of our Patriot community. Strong communication between school and home plays an important role in supporting our students and their success.

All day, every day, the Patriot Way.

Mrs. Garcia

September is Attendance Awareness Month

Regular attendance helps students build the habits employers value: reliability, responsibility, teamwork, communication, and persistence. Every day helps prepare students for what comes next. Thank you, ARHS families, for the routines, communication, and encouragement that help students arrive ready to learn. Your partnership makes a difference every day.

New: Teacher Feature! New: Teacher Feature!

Miss Grissom’s H.O.P.E. classes are currently having a great time learning and practicing skills during our basketball unit. While students are working on basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and teamwork, they are also improving important health-related components of fitness listed below.

  • Cardiorespiratory Endurance: Students improve their heart and lung endurance through continuous movement, running, and participation in basketball activities and games.
  • Muscular Endurance: Repeated movements such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and maintaining an athletic stance help students develop the ability of their muscles to work overtime.
  • Muscular Strength: Passing, shooting, rebounding, and other basketball movements require students to use strength in their upper body, lower body, and core.
  • Flexibility: Stretching and moving through different ranges of motion help students maintain flexibility and prepare their bodies for physical activity.
  • Body Composition: Regular participation in physical activity, including basketball, contributes to overall physical fitness and supports a healthy body composition.

Throughout the unit, our focus is on skill development, physical fitness, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and having fun while being active. The goal is for students to understand that basketball is not only a fun team sport, but also an excellent way to improve multiple areas of health-related fitness. Students are encouraged to participate actively, demonstrate good sportsmanship, work cooperatively with classmates, and continue improving their individual fitness levels.

Please encourage your student to come to class ready to participate, learn, and give their best effort each day. Thank you for your continued support of our Physical Education program and encouraging activities that foster an active and healthy lifestyle.
