Theresetta Third Annual Fine Arts Night June 16, 2026
We are excited to announce our third annual TCS Fine Arts Night, taking place on Tuesday, June 16th.
This special evening is a celebration of the many artistic endeavours our students have been engaged in throughout the year. Performances will include students from K–6 music classes and the Fine Arts CTS Junior option (which all junior high students are in). All K–9 students are expected to attend.
Doors will open at 6:45 PM, and the event will begin at 7:00 PM.
Please note that this will be a graded event for junior high students. If your child is unable to attend, you will need to contact your Homeroom teacher as soon as possible.
In addition to the performances, there will be art displays showcasing work from both K–6 and 7–9 classes, which families can enjoy throughout the evening.
We are excited to once again dedicate an evening to celebrating the creativity and talent of our students, and we hope you can join us for this wonderful community event.
If you have any questions about your child’s participation or the evening itself, please contact the school.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Connection During Summer
Connect with your kids this summer by balancing routine with spontaneous fun, focusing on presence over expensive activities. Prioritize daily, distraction-free quality time, such as playing, shared chores, or outdoor adventures, ensuring a strong, nurturing relationship that aids their development. To help plan, use resources like the Alive counselling link here and read the Modern parenting link here for tips.
1. Take family field trips.
Whether you can take a day off work, or simply plan something fun in the evening, take a few hours to go to the zoo, visit a local park, or visit a museum.
2. Volunteer locally.
Find a local charity or talk with your local church about ways your kid can help out during the summer.
3. Plan a family game night…
Or make it a party and invite some friends over. Most importantly, let your kids plan the activities and menu! You’re busy enough during the day, so don’t feel like you need to be the family cruise director all summer.
4. Read a book series.
Almost every kid in school will have some type of required summer reading. But, outside of that, let them get creative and pick a longer book series to read over time.
5. Plan a family dinner night.
Again, let your kids do the menu planning. Encourage a certain theme, whether it’s Italian, Mexican, or burgers and fries. When it’s time to cook, you can help, but you would be surprised how many kids come to love cooking after they try it for the first time.
