Thank you all for a GREAT first full week back! I have loved walking around seeing our students back in the building. We appreciate all of your support and grace these few days in regards to schedules and the bus times/numbers as we work with NLHS to get the buses routes under control for our students.

Beginning this week students will be counted tardy if they are not in their homebase by 7:45. Please help us get our panthers in school before this time. All students regardless of grade should be dropped off at the front entrance. Parents, when dropping students off in the morning please pull all the way forward to the mailbox and then have your child exit the car while in the line. You should not wait until you get to the front awning to have your child exit, this holds the line up and creates traffic issues on Amity Church Rd. We appreciate your help and support with this. Remember the official drop off time is 7:15, we do not have adults on duty before this time. If your child has a cumbersome bag for a sport please pull to the fire hydrant beyond the mailbox and park to allow them to get there things outside of the traffic flow.

We are excited about our new online apparel store. Please visit our store to get all things NLMS for your student. A lot of the items in the store can be worn at the high school as they move into their next schooling phase. Click here to visit.

Please consider joining our PTO. We have a lot of different ways for you to be involved throughout the year and our PTO is a great place to start. We will have our first opportunity to volunteer during duty free lunch for teachers on September 11th. Consider signing up by clicking here. Remember to complete the online LCS background check before signing up. This background check can be found on our school and LCS website.

We have had some issues with our chromebooks connecting to the wifi and are hoping this is resolved by Monday. Remember all chromebooks at NLMS are BRAND new this year. ALL students are required to have a chromebook case. The chromebook is 14 inches. We have a case for purchase on our school apparel website. This case can easily be used at the high school as it only has NL on it. Parents do NOT have to purchase from our store but must purchase something for protection. New this year if your child has their own device from home they are NOT permitted to use the device as LCS has had a new wi-fi system installed across all campuses and the network is not built to support numerous outside devices. Chromebook misuse and physically having a Chromebook in an unassigned area such as the bathroom or gym will now come with disciplinary consequences as outlined in the matrix which will be sent home the first week of school.

All students are charged a $20 Panther Fee, this fee pays for our schoolwide agenda, our one school one book and some other printable materials. School cash is a great way to pay for this. If you have not signed up for a school cash online account please be sure to sign up today! Registration is easy and free and a great way to keep track of fees your student owes. Payments can be made online, which include a small processing fee, or by sending cash/check to school with your student. Regardless of your preferred method of payment, registration is strongly encouraged so you can receive emails directly when your student has fees* due.
