Sentinel Snapshot

What a week it has been at SHS! Last Saturday we had a safe and entertaining Senior Prom dance at Tacoma Country and Golf Club. On Tuesday at Senior Awards Night we recognized the hard work of our senior class. This year's graduates have been offered over $7,300,000 in scholarship money. Truly amazing! On Wednesday we welcomed state senator T'wina Nobles to campus. She spoke with our leadership students and our entire junior class about the importance of accessing education after high school, and the ways that state and federal programs can offset the cost of that education. And then today we hosted students and parents from every school in the district for our 10th Annual Day of Champions which is a field day for students receiving special services. Over 100 high schoolers volunteered their time to facilitate the games and it is such a joyful time!

It's always a great day to be a Sentinel...but this week that's especially true. - Jake

With our new Yearbook Plus feature with additional digital photos, even more students get to be in the spotlight. There are less than 60 units left, so buy your book today at Jostens.com before they sell out and remember this year worth sharing!
