The Weekly Splash
April 27th- May 1st
MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL KENELY
We encourage you to take a few minutes this week to fill out a Recognize Someone form! This is a wonderful way to share your appreciation for a teacher, staff member, or even our Principal or Assistant Principal. A few kind words can go a long way in brightening someone’s day and reminding them of the impact they are making.

Field Day Spectators
We are so excited that you would like to join in on the Field Day fun!
Please fill out the form below so our amazing office staff can have a colored visitor badge ready for you to pick up at the front doors upon arrival. This badge must be worn at all times.
As a reminder, Field Day is a school-day event for students enrolled at Donald only. Younger siblings are permitted to attend but must be supervised at all times. They cannot participate in the games.
Spectators (visitors) are welcome to watch and cheer, but may only interact with their own child during the event.
Our volunteers will be wearing a different colored badge and have all been VOLY approved, allowing them to work directly with students and support staff during Field Day.

Want to go on Class Field Trips this year? Volunteer on campus?
If you are wanting to attend your child's field trips, help with events, or volunteer on campus you MUST have a VOLY background check complete. It is a very easy process and nice to get out of the way early before it's too late!
Lewisville ISD's VOLY site is open and ready to accept volunteers for the 2025-2026 school year. All volunteers on LISD campuses must have an approved background check on file. LISD uses LewisvilleISD.voly.org to post volunteer opportunities and to process background checks. Please go to the site and either create an account or update your account from a previous year. VOLY also has an app! You can find it in the app store for either Apple or Android products. Be sure to select that you want to work with Lewisville ISD. We look forward to having you on campus as a volunteer soon!
In Person Enrollment
LISD is hosting several upcoming in-person enrollment events to encourage families to finish their enrollment paperwork before the May 31st deadline. As a reminder, any applications in progress and not complete as of May 31 will be lost as the Skyward migration process begins in June. Families would be required to restart their paperwork once the system is back up and running. Share the following blurb in your newsletters in the coming weeks:
Join us at one of our in-person enrollment events where LISD staff will be on hand to walk families step-by-step through the enrollment process and answer any questions along the way.
WHEN: April 23 & 24 from 8:30 to 6 p.m.
WHERE: LISD Bolin Professional Learning Center (1565 W. Main St. Entry E, Lewisville)
Help Me Win $500 dollars for our school!
Flower Mound Youth Football Academy is now registering for Fall Tackle Football and Cheer. Last season we were able to help over 400 Players and Cheerleaders develop their skills and learn valuable personal lessons during our fall season. We had approximately 60 LISD students start their 7th grade team already experienced in the skills needed to help them be successful at their respective Middle School. The goal is to build a funnel of players to our middle and high schools that are skilled so that the coaches can jump right in to team development. This will improve our schools success. Our players also learn responsibility, work ethic, self-discipline, and many other skills to help them grow.
Last year we put out a challenge to all of the Elementary Schools that feed FMHS and MHS. Whichever school had the most players sign up, the principal would received $500 to spend on their school. This year we are going to help out two schools. The elementary school with the most players registered when season starts will win $500 for their school. We will present one winner per feeder pattern, a winner for MHS and a winner for FMHS.
