Wharton WildcatNewsletterApril 16, 2021

Dear Families,

April is well underway, and we were excited to have some of our students return onsite after Spring Break. Students have been doing a wonderful job staying socially distant, while in the building and on school grounds. We thank each and every student and family for their support in the process.

Students continue to strive towards academic mastery as we close out the year. Classes are engrossed in novels during their ELA time and are moving forward with their Math mastery. It is wonderful to see students continue to grow as they prepare to move forward to sixth grade.

As we consider students transitioning to the middle school, we are in the planning stages for a virtual step up day at the end of May, which will familiarize students with middle school. This opportunity will help students feel more comfortable and prepared for the transition to Heritage.

We hope that all is well, and should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school.

Educationally yours,

Dr. Shestine Gesbocker, Principal

Mrs. Sara Leone, Associate Principal

Earth Day

April 22 is Earth Day. This day reminds us all to be more aware of our actions as they do impact our world. The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970, and many people participated in rallies to heighten awareness about environmental issues. There was even such a rally in Chicago. While we have made progress protecting our resources and creating a cleaner world, we still have more work to do.
